I've tried it a while back to not much effect but things lit that work differently on different people.  It is a vaso dilator so if you are having any surgery quit taking it before hand.

So, for the people that it works on, we get to make all kinds of jokes about them not getting enough oxygen to the brain?

Or if they are men, sub in blood and other parts.

So, Lisa could take Viagra and hope for the same effect?

Nope viagra tends to be more target specific.  :p

I'm imagining the lab tests on this one (scene opens with a lady Doctor and a male patient):

Dr- Ok, did that work?

Tester- Only if it was supposed to make my bicep swell-up.

{Next day}

Dr- How about this time?

Tester- Uh, my butt's all swollen... What are you giving me?

{next day}

Dr- How about now?

Tester- Aww Yeah... How you doin??

Actually it was originally to lower blood pressure..... Ummmmm Fail!!!

No, VX gas was a pesticide but instead it burns your skin off and kills you... Super Fail!!!

Viagra brings joy to many a man and woman across the land.  Happy Fail!!!

See failure is an option sometimes.

It is not if you fail, sooner or later you will fail.  It is whether or not you can get back up!

Which is where the Viagra comes in!

You get similar benefits from taking L-Arginine ...or is it L-Lysine??.  One of the two.  I definitely noticed an increase in, uhh, positive blood flow, when I started taking both when I was lifting heavy.

So Chris, back to this L-Arginine or L-Lysine.  Were you taking just those or is it that they were in some MEGA MAN stuff?  How did you happen upon those and then deduce that's what was causing the issues?

I was taking those, a B-Complex vitamin, Glutamine, Ornithine, CLA, Creatine, and perhaps one or two other things along with a boatload of protein per day. Everything was individual caplets, no MegaMan mixes.  I chose to take Arginine & Lysine primarily on the recommendation of my oldest brother who used to lift very heavy and played semi-pro football. He's the one that also first correlated the effect for me to one of those two, and I can definitely vouch for its effect.  With Arginine being a precursor to nitric oxide, I'd lean toward it being the the thing that gets the veins "pumped" ;-)

Did you have the ammonia stench? Because that is from the breakdown of Arginine, Glutamine and Asparagine.

Yep. Those amino acids from your protein diet can be degraded and the leaving group is NH3 which becomes a salt in your highly ionic sweat.

Good morning TAN.

Morning Jim.

Welcome!

How's the getting up and moving going for you?

Well, yesterday was sort of a fail.  I didn't get out of my office chair from 9am to 5:30 pm.  Updating construction drawings for a big project.

BUT, I did go to the indoor golf range and tested out some demo equipment.  I may have to get new clubs.  According to the computer, I was hitting the demo driver as well as the one I own.  But the IRONS?  25 yards further?  I should NOT be hitting the 7i 175 and my 5i 200-210.  Crazy.

Yeah, 7iron is from the 150 marker unless there's wind or you need to avoid something by going higher or lawer.

You didn't pee or eat or anything?

I've started doing lunch time walks again to get out of my office chair. I keep an old pair of running shoes under my desk, pop those babies on and head to the old atomic bomb shelter tunnels with my iPod. It's cold enough down there in the winter I don't break a sweat mall-walking. Kinda scary though, like the setting for a horror flick.

Normally, I would be happy if I can even HIT the ball with my 3.  I HAVE been working on my swing, but I think it's the difference between almost 20yr old pings that I own and love and the brand new 2013 Rocketbalz...  Design and technology has improved a lot.

I haven't played regularly since March 2007 (when my son was born) but at the time, I was a 10 hcp.

Even at that, I would always club-down.  So if I had a 150 yard shot, it's 6 iron, half a backswing.  Only time I went after it was with the 9 iron and with a 3 wood or driver.

It ain't about hitting it far, it's about hitting it where you want to every time.

Oh and Putting.  I used to count putts in rounds because if I could shoot under 36 putts, I was going to have a great round.

I would like to say "of course I did".  But looking back, I don't think I did.  I didn't eat lunch, and the only time I got something to drink was around 5pm.

I planned to walk around the park next door, but got absorbed in the work.  Maybe today.

Well, we just had a manager's meeting.

As I figured, fiscal cliff hurt some things, but the it's mostly because the economy in the construction industry here in Vegas is STILL slow.  We will be out of money/work at the end of Feb with zero prospects.

Crap, here we go again.  Stress dreams, look out.

Crazy.

Holy smokes!  I'm somewhat happy if I hit my 3i 175.

Yep the difference between an average round and a good round was when I hit a couple long puts or chipped one in.  Sinking a 20 footer is often the difference between 1 or 3 puts for that hole.  Or being automatic at about 6 instead of 2 putting.  Do that a couple times, and I'm in the 80's

I'm so glad I don't play golf anymore.  I have no idea how I could spend so many hours doing that these days. Maybe when the kids are older...

I actually started Triathlon when I did because you can workout pre-dawn and after kids are asleep and because at my work, running during lunch is fitness while going to the driving range during lunch is slacking on work!

NO, No, No.....you deserve a unstressful 2013!!!

I have a friend who played on the PGA Tour and the mini tours for years. We were all supposed to go golfing once for his sister/my friend's wedding party. I was too hungover to make the tee time so I bailed. That would've been my only opportunity to ever actually play golf. I can see myself liking it though.
