I meant it as a compliment. If people say crappy things to you or about you, you either addressit head on or let it roll of your back. Spokes needs a little of that. Somebody said something along those lines to me once, and I said, "This would be relevant if I actually gave a F$#& what you thought." Shut him up right there.

Sorry for the language, but stuff like htis burns me. Teddy said it better:

If I wasn't throwing away over $100 in race fees, I'd probably chuck my two remaining races, based on how I feel emotionally today. I'm tired. I'm tired of people telling me because I'm not fast I shouldn't bother. I'm tired of getting passed by older people and fatter people.

I'm young, and still get passed by old fat people. No biggie.

x2. I get passed by EVERYONE, at least on the run. And the swim. And often on the bike, too.

(you'd still be ahead of me on the run as you'd finish the swim and the bike before I'd get done with the first 2 )....

I might be ahead, but you'd still pass me!

But it goes further than that. I really have no one to train with. Its the same problem I had in MS... everyone is either fast, or you've got a group that's either a) newbies or b) out of shape and trying to lose weight. I don't fit into either group. 

..and Eleanor Roosevelt said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your permission." Don't you EVER let someone else define you.

And why do you still even hear what that butt scab says? If it's phone, don't answer, if it's e-mail, delete it without reading it, if it's a message board, dump it and spend your time here.

It's an individual sport. I actually like training alone... it's part of what brought me here.

I knew that was coming. I figured from Scout though.

I started training again tomorrow.

Today I golf

I hit a 260 yard drive this week--over a clump of trees to cut the corner and end up 20 yards from the green. I chipped, then two putted for par. In the dark.

Not bad, Fish. Were you using a glow in the dark ball?

Gotta get rid of that 2 putt... birdies are made on the green and in the nest.

Darkness was falling. We decided to hit up and see if we could hit well enough to find them on the ride into the clubhouse. The other three guys hit into the woods (the only reason we knew it was because we heard it). I knew I caught all of it, and it felt sweet--i thought I'd have a shot at finding it--it was dead in the middle of the fairway.

I couldn't even see the flag--my buddy tended it in khaki shorts which gave me an idea of where it was. I got the first putt close, but again, i couldn't really even see the hole. i just wanted to get close enough to par it...
