Subject: RE: Nibbs XIXBeth, I just went back through my training runs during my Oly training (the graph feature RAWKS), and I did 10k distance or more just three times in my training. So don't let that get to you. You're ready. Also, I doubt they would do something so cruel to the age grouper as to make it a 5k, 40k, 10k. It may be a 5k, 40k, 5k. Or maybe a 2 mile, 40k, 4.2 mile. They could do all sorts of things, but I doubt, and would be very surprised if they had y'all run over seven miles total. If they do, you could still do it with just a wee bit more walking It's definitely a mental bummer training so long for a tri to have this happen, but the nature of triathlon is to be ready for anything, because every race is different. Every race has new challenges, problems, and successes. Who knows, you might actually find you really, really like dus. My suggestion is to show up with a smile on your face and make the most of it. There are a lot of people that feel just the way you do right now, and you have a chance to be a bright spot and show them that y'all can still have a good time. You're ready and you can do it. So go do it |
