jdwright56 - 2008-06-16 12:43 PM Just had to hand the new guy his @zz in a forklift race.  Rookies!!

Yaaaay!

That sounds a lot more fun than the run and swim I have planned today.

Phew. Amen for that.

The coffee here was so unacceptable I had to go to the corner market and triple-shot my own.

Sorry you had a bad morning. I didn't, at all. I just have a bad attitude today!!!

I had a boss for whom I had to order coffee exactly like this:

Two quad-shot macchiato skinny drizzle caramel in a large cup.

He drank three or four of those a day, plus had an espresso machine in the office.

I told him to go back to smoking crack, it was cheaper and probably healthier for him.

I would never order that for anyone. I just can't bring myself to say it.

Well, maybe for Jenny McCarthy. But she better be topless.

The good news is... the Garmin is an excellent training tool.

The bad news  is... I've been underestimating my run distances by 15-25% with the car odometer and the Nike+ (which is a POS IMHO and a waste of money). Now I know why I hit the wall at 17 miles in CIM and where my run fitness has gone (couple actual shorter runs with less frequency = lost run fitness). The good news is I can get it back, but its going to suck. I'm just going to ride my bike and do the runs and not worry about it. This is hobby, and I'm still in better shape than 99% of the people out there. Cool

I'm also definitely injured with my right foot, too, so increasing mileage too fast right now - not a good idea. I've got plenty of time to get ready for the marathon, its not until March.

I think that I found that my bike computer is off a couple percent too.  It tells me I went about a mile longer on my 25 miles rides than the Garmin....

What kind of puter is it?  Can it be calibrated?  maybe it is your wheel size - have you checked that it is set correctly?

I know I could fix it, just lazy to do it, to be honest.  I plugged in the numbers for the 700x23 tires but I think to do it accuratly, I need to measure it on the floor.  It's only off by a little, and since I use my Garmin 90% of the time - it doesn't matter.  Just noticed the descrepancy.

Rynamite - 2008-06-16 2:34 PM All my buddies are paid up for this weekend except for 2. One owes me $298 and one ows me $71. Getting closer....
Well, out $300 isn't all that bad, just annoying. Especially since you'll resent those idiots the whole time.

Yeah, $300 puts a bad taste in mouth, but doesn't keep you from paying the rent.....  Or at least I hope not.....

I try not to drink too much coffee. Instead I just take the largest diet rockstar I can find and down it as fast as possible. That usuallyholds me over for the morning.

Did you beat the hell out of him???  I never make people get me coffee..  If they insist I just go for a nonfat latte to keep it simple..

And why does so much coffee suck???  I can't even drink the swill they serve in resturaunts anymore..

No. He fired me and I had to take him to court to get my last paycheck.

I honestly did wish he would smoke crack. It can't be any worse than what his personality on 30+ shots of espresso a day was like.
