What kind of stone? Calcium Oxalate? Did it past? You know once you have one stone you are 80% liekly to form another. Has a lot to do with the chemical pH of your body. You know if you want your pee checked out and info.....I am your girl!!!! I did NOT know that. I have no idea as it has not come out yet... at least as far as I know. My doc isn't worried since I am 40 and this is my first. If it pops up again, we will look at it. I was told that if I were to capture the stone in the strainer, I could just drop it down the toilet so I quit straining since I figured we weren't analyzing it. Not worried about it. The pain was short-lived. But if I want my urine checked I will definitely look you up. Drinks with Potassium Citrate (sports drinks and Lemonade) can't hurt to help control reoccuring stones. We are doing a study right now with sports drinks to see the effects of sport drink therapy for reoccurring stone formers. And surprisingly the sport drinks are as effective and the drug therapy of KCitr. So get some lemons and squeeze them into that water bottle and up the diluted gatorade!
Interesting... actually... my sports drink volume has dwindled... one, since I was not doing a whole lot there for a while... and two, because I wondered if an increased volume was partially to blame for my stomach ulcers and gastritis. I will do more on that front however... Thanks Cheri! Say an extra prayer for me, and tell Him.....I have a good heart and we will call it even! |

I didn't know you'd had an accident. How's your recovery? On a different note, I'm loving the little vaca to Colorado. If I had more clothes and my other bike here I might just stay. |

And I'm on the lower end, for the moment. Yay! Still thinking about the drugs, though. |

I try to be very careful with all such things, but if there were ever a time it's really called for, that would be now. So I'm now one paracetamol (=Tylenol), one aspirin, 30mg of codeine and a small Xanax (whatever their smallest increment is) and hopefully that will put me down. And some multivitamins, can't hurt. I am *loopee* from the brain bang too (for sure the wrong end got banged for once!) ... I tried to get into my car to drive, and not only was it the passenger side, it was the backseat ... then I thought, "Maybe I shouldn't be driving." Also, turning the wheel really, really hurts. |

Right now I'm good. On vacation out in Colorado, about to load up the bike to go for a ride. Trying to make some big life-changing decisions. Or just trying to figure out a little bit more of life. |

How's everything going for you these days B? Things are good. My daughter turns one tomorrow. yay! Things at the church are good. Lots of good exciting stuff to happen there. Things with the wife are good. Did my first tri of the season yesterday... did an Oly here in town. The bike was REALLY hilly... but it was here in WV... in my own town... what did I expect? To be fair, they changed the bike route to this new bruttally hilly course just this week when before they managed to find about the flattest possible course in WV. That older course only had 3 or 4 hills. Yesterday's was nothing but a succession of hills... about 3000' of climbing in the Oly. All in all... life is good. You? care to share some of the thoughts floating around your noggin? |

Did you get your head examined? SRSLY, that might help. Brain swelling and fluid accumulation aren't to be effed around with. If your body is bruised then the head might be as well. besides, helmets aren't 100% effective; they merely increase your chances of being OK. A CT scan might be wise? |
