Nice tat cube!

Got back from urgent care not too long ago, have been feeling horrid, and just like I suspected, I have the full on flu. I had put off getting my flu shot for months because I was training for my first marathon (which I did in December) and now I have the flu.

So now I have to lay around in bed for a few days, and no training for 4-5 days, this really stinks!

marcsquid - 2011-01-20 12:21 PM I'm also a first timer,

Did one half last year, doing another one for training in may.

I'm lucky enough to be interning in Savannah during the winter, so I can get my swims and rides in. I just have to figure out how to train when i go back to college in cincinnati in the spring.

Marc,

Check out a group cincyexpress.com.  There is a decent amount of people doing IMKY.  Will you be living in Clifton?

@japarker24
-thanks for the welcome, just found the site, I'm doing Rev3 in Knoxville

@cincytodd

Thanks, i know a little about them. I live in Toledo and part of the team toledo tri club, but go to school in cincy (fall/spring) and cooping in savannah, ga (winter/summer). It gets confusing at times.

Yeah, i live just a mile or two off campus. My spring schedule doesn't help out much. just have to keep the party down this quarter.

Wow!!! Many new people to our BT IMLOU family! Welcome. I way behind in my welcoming.

CUBE- Do you have to stay out of water or chlorinated water? I don't want to take a week off from swimming, but I could do that during spring break in FLA. However, I will need/want to go in salt water.

Here is the design I want...except in black. I thought about an IM design, but I would do the old-school Ironman trophy (metal guy with hole in head). See attachment.

bcornn - 2011-01-19 10:26 PM I would definitely like to hear if/when people might go down and do some course riding.  It would be great to have a group.
Stay warm everyone!

I'm definitely planning to go down and ride the course....probably twice. I'd also be interested in doing this with a group. I'll check the iamtri link for updates.

I want to welcome all the new peeps who have signed up- You guys are going to rock this and I am looking forward to your Journey.

I wanted to go for a bike ride this morning but the weather was a little on the chilly side so I opted for an easy long run. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Go Steelers!

Cube-
Thanks for the tat info. quite valuable. I'll have to time that well. Hmm. Maybe in the off-season.

Fair question:

Next interviews up...in order are:
Jeremy, John, *Fred, Stacie, Chris, Alan, and Nancy
I'm only posting one a week for now.

Peace,
~Sam
