Got to brag on my kiddos. We did a timed swim today during the WAVE class. DD (7) swam 48 laps (1200 yards) in 30 minutes. DS (10) swam 46 laps (1150 yards) in 30 minutes. He had a commanding 100 yard lead until the very end. At the 1000 yard mark, he just really slowed way down. Still. That's pretty cool.

My youngest class participant (a 6 year old girl) managed to swim 22 laps (550 yards). I love endurance days

Could be worse....all the TAN people could be mentors.

Seriously, I don't feel qualified to be a mentor right now.  The whole injury thing makes me jaded.

My husband owes me big time.  I just went to three different stores to get gifts for the people he manages, his gift exchange, even wrapping paper for my present!!  The stores are NUTS!!  I went to Best Buy to pick up his last present and the lines were into the CDs.  UGH!!  I hope no one has shopping left.

Yay!  Album's fixed.

check it out

Cool pic's....  looks wet and cold... brrr.....

Reminds me... I still need to get my sister the filters she wants for Christmas...
If you have a SLR try a red filter for snowy conditions... It will really bring out the different shades of color (of course you'd also want to use BW film/digital option).

Once I was moving I ended up in just my long underwear with a windblock jacket and pants.

It was a friend's camera-nothing special.  Not that I have a very great camera either.  Thanks for the tips though.

Nice.  Glad I'm not the only one.

To be fair, I think there are TAN people who would make good mentors - like Akidoman or Akustik or Crowny (sure there are others too).

I see we're talking about mentors. I want to sign up to be one, but I don't know if I've got enough experience. I'm onto my third tri season now but I've only ever done sprint distances. I'm planning to do a HIM in May though. I think I'd probably be good at mentoring total beginners, because I used to be one.

Its HOT this side of the world!!!
