Ok, maybe that's enough harrassment of Lora from me, for one evening.

Did an hour ride today on my bitchin' GURU. I think I've finally got my fit dialed in. Things seemed to click today.

Running tomorrow in the freezin' a** cold. Ran in about 7' on Friday.

Need to do some exercises to strengthen my lower back; or to gain greater flexability. Do you think sitting on my rumpus typing goofy sh** is going to get it done?

Me neither. Time to break out the yoga video.

Peace. Oh and Lora...do it.

Everyone looking to do strength work, look into the TRX system of suspention training. Got it for Xmas and started doing it this week, twice so far. Great core workout and really works your shoulders and back. Legs stuff isnt bad, but not as hard as the upper body/core stuff. Maybe because we use our legs so much already?
Oh and Lora, dont wait to long. It will probley sell out here in the next month or so.

I agree with the above Lora...time to sign up.  Registration will fill shortly.

Good news: recieved my powertap!!
Bad news:  I can't try it out yet because I need a spacer for my cassette.  Also, my LBS is closed tomorrow so I won't be able to try it out until Monday.  The suspense is killing me!

Welcome all new folks!!  I'm feeling a little sentimental tonight for some reason, maybe it was the multiple alcoholic beverages I had tonight   Whatever the reason may be.....feel it, dream it, believe it and make it happen!  There is nothing like the feeling of being an IRONMAN for the first time.  Nothing.  Listen to your dreams and make them happen.  YOU CAN DO IT.

I am trying to decide which training plan to use for my first IM.  I've been doing alot of online research but haven't settled on a specific plan yet.  Any thoughts, ideas from the group?  Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to 8/28/11!

You want HOT? Come train in Newnan GA. Hilly rollers and upper 90's everyday and heat index in the 102-108 range starting in mid June on. Do the Macon GA Rock-n-Rollman Half if you want a real taste of IMLOU. Hilly start to finish, even the frickin SWIM is uphill!!
I got to mile 8 of the run last year and I was done, had to do the "walk of shame"...still finished in 5:49.

So they decided to keep it in June?  I thought it was moving to October.
