I ask myself that from time to time as well as why do I bother with some people.  If you are talking about I think you are I would have to agree with you.

No worries - I'd take any recommendations at this point!

Does anyone else chuckle at the fact that the "Becoming Sober" thread is followed immediately by the "Beer" thread?

Dr. Who!!!

NCIS is pretty good too when I watch it.

Dr Who! That takes me way back! What number Doctor are they up to now?

Matt Smith is Dr. #11

John Pertwee is the first I remember #3 I think. But mostly I grew up with Tom Baker who would be #4 if I'm right about Pertwee.

Sadly, it will take however long it takes.  I'll probably look for something either in the legal field again, though I actually really enjoyed the project management part of what I was doing for the last 5 months that I was working in London, so the short answer is... whoever will hire me!

If your future baby-daddy will contact me back about meeting up in Chicago in a few weeks, I can introduce you to a few folks that have connections......but alas, he has not. So it's whatever. I guess he doesn't love you.

Baby-daddy?  Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!  Oh that was funnay!  Nope, there won't be any babies.

When are you in Chicago?  I'm legally not allowed to be in contact with ANYONE with regards to employment before I get the OK.

September 16 - 17th.....I'm going to wreck that city (not really....I'm on a company trip).

I'm not saying that you have to talk work.....you're just meeting some people, who are also Ironman finishers....who may or may not network with you.

Some big wig here arranged for a military plane to "swing by" so our employees could get a look at the finished product they build. If only they knew all of the logistics and crap we have to scramble to coordinate a simple little visit like this. They originally wanted it to be here on Tuesday (you know, in 2 business days) but now they gave us an additional 5 days. How generous.

Morning TAN!

Wondering what show I should start watching now... I saw a couple of episodes of Breaking Bad (looks pretty good - I might continue that one), the pilot of American Horror Story (bizarre, and not sure I liked it), and have caught up on True Blood (what the H E L L is going ON with that show - it's getting ridiculous!) and now looking for something else to give a whirl.

Any suggestions?

Man vs. Food. Best.show.ever...

Is it back on or just reruns?  I used to love that show and make note of the places to visit them when I went to those cities.  Actually, a LOT of those travel/food shows I did that.  Make note of the place and eat there if I had the chance...

This is true but I am good with that.  I get tired of all the "stuff" sometimes.

I had the most vivid dream last night.  I was a young man again, just out of college and watching a triathlon.  A girl I went to school with named Hiedi was racing (she is a GEORGOUS blonde).  What caught my eye, is that she was the most amazing descender on the bike.  It was a technical bike patch and she took the perfect lines and it was beautiful to watch.  She got her lead and was through mile 5 of the run and bonked.  So I ran up to her to try and encourage her to get up and finish at least...  And at that moment, it was love at first site...

But then my wife walked up and asked if everything was ok...  UM, awkward!

MAYBE it was something in my head from dinner that night.  We went out and the server (a hot girl) was hitting on my wife SO hard, that I almost asked if I should leave and give them some privacy or tell them to get a room.  We both had a chuckle about it, but it was a bit odd.

Dang, someone just offered UNLV vs Minn football tickets for tonight....   Gawds I wish I had some brofriends to go with.  I'm a swinging single again, and this would have been perfect.

They are good, we had a great day together.

Oh so my girl said she wants to learn how to surf so I bought a foam surf board for her to learn on. I guess she went home saying how she is going to learn so her mom bought a surfing lesson for her this week. My kids loved it so I will be taking them this weekend for more surfing at with the lessons their mom is paying for they already know the basics so I get to just have fun with them. Thanks ex

Morning TAN. My wife's knee surgery went well and I've been doing my best to be a good "caregiver." I am not very good at it but I'm trying. We are now off to PT.

That's cool.  Seems like she tried to "one up" you a bit, but it's not going to work.  They will bond with YOU over the surfing not the person who payed.  So a win for you.  Plus it's more ammo to keep them in CA (not much, but SOMETHING).
