Master 2770 Central Kansas | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED jobaxas - 2012-11-01 6:21 PM KansasMom - 2012-11-02 8:51 AM I'm double posting this -- hoping for some help/advice: I have a trainer question for you'all. I have 650cc tires. I bought a Cycleops Fluid 2 trainer a year ago, not really thinking about the size of my tires. I'm bending my L bolt out of shape beyond recognition. My husband has had to bend it back into shape three times now. He told me this last time that he won't be able to bend it back again. I've read their material and looked at their instructional videos, and I haven't found anything that mentions a size requirement for the tires. Nevertheless, I think the problem is the small size of my tire. I really have to crank the resistance to get it tight enough. I saw that the Kinetic has an adapter for their trainer for 650 tires. But I've found nothing for the Cycleops. I can't find 650 training tires. So, what do I do? If anyone can point me in the direction of a solution, I'd appreciate it. (Sorry if my cycling vocabulary is wrong -- I did the best I could to explain my problem. )
You should contact Cycleops - I've heard great things about their customer service and they will probably solve the problem way more effectively than my 0.02 worth! Thanks Jo. I will give them a call. I can't be the first short person to have this problem. (I hope) |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED HOLY SCHMYTE I HAVE THE BEST NEWS IN THE WHOLE WORLD! If I'm my dad's slave until he dies or for the next few months, whichever comes first, he'll fund a Eurotrip for my mom and me for several weeks. This is awesome in every way imaginable, but also because I can park my mom with her brothers (that's why she's going) and run off and do a race or two or some private Eurotripping and a hot Europiglet or three. |

How was the birthday? You survived anyway ... I got frickin' ambushed is what happened. Nevertheless, my dad did say, verbatim, for the first time in 36 years (or possibly to anyone, ever): "I'm very proud of you." I realize he was mostly saying it to manipulate my consent, but even for him there's probably a grain of truth in there. |

Helsinki (I've never been, and can get a killer deal through there on to Germany with Garuda/Finnair--Garuda is the Indo nat'l airline, surprisingly, a damn good one and I have a zillion member points) and Slovenia (just over the border from Italy, where I have piglets lined up.) Plus I just read the most fascinating book about Slovenian soldiers in WWII. |

Feel free to take a look and give me any feedback. I REALLY like the first one and the second one. I agree with the arbitrariness(?) of the second set. No control over who else shows up. But a good softish kind of goal, if you are rating yourself against others. None of us like to admit that we do it, but we all do it to some degree. I like the measurability of the third set, but I have been called a left brain sort of person before. The last one is up to you. "Any means necessary" gives a lot of wiggle room. Let us know how it works out. |
