Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Today is our community Shred Day. They park a big truck with a commercial size shredder. Any one can drop off up to four medium boxes or paper bags of papers to shred. You drive up, they take the stuff and throw it straight into the shredder. You leave some cans of food for the local food warehouse, and then drive away. Nice! I have a small shredder, but this is nice for clearing away accumulation from previous years or even if the junk mail has just piled up too much. This year I have two paper grocery sacks full to drop off. With some canned food of course! |

I use the shredded paper in my office in the compost pile. It feels good to have the excess paper go to making good veggies. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action What a day. We dropped my car off this morning for it's yearly state inspection. It's in town here, so I was going to run in after work, it's like 2.7 miles. The wind has REALLY picked up, and I think the rain is on its way. Not sure if I'll run in or not. Just rain I can run in. If it's thundering and lightning I'm staying inside. AND My boss. The best boss I've ever had... sent an email out a little while ago saying he was leaving as program manager of our project. He is staying with the company, just leaving our project, and NJ. His right hand man is taking over as the boss. I like him, but it won't be the same. He knows we had a good boss, and I think he will try to live up to the standard we have been so fortunate to have. We shall see. |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action I went to the Farmer's market today to get some local honey. It was also Earth Day celebration. There were booths selling food, and vegetable plants, and flowers. Selling crafts for the home and garden, mostly wooden products and homemade soaps, sewing like quilts and such. live musicians, and of course food. There were also booths about different types of gardening and recycling. Also area parks and lakes and so forth. Lots of crafts and games for kids too. Quite impressive all in all. |

I use the shredded paper in my office in the compost pile. It feels good to have the excess paper go to making good veggies. We can put our magazines, etc. in our regular recycle can. I just don't like to put some things in there without being shredded for privacy just in case. Besides our big garbage bin that we roll out to the curb for weekly pickup, we also have a big recycle bin that we roll out. The recycle truck takes glass, #1&2 plastic, tin and aluminum cans, and paper products. I know that some places don't have regular recycling. Does your area? |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action At the Farmer's Market today, I tried fresh kale. It was quite good. Kind of like brocolli but maybe a little sweeter. I chopped some up in my salad at dinner. Yum yum! |

Dee, we can recycle here, but it is limited. We do our own and take it to another recycle place because the town charges too much and doesn't recycle as much. HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!!! |

Today is getting laundry done, other chores and then packing up for SC. Hey Kendra, we will be in Walterboro. I'll wave at you. A good old fashioned southern wedding with two "old southern" families. Should be full of drama.... and good food. I'll try to pop back in, in a little bit. Ann, the storms look big, take care. It is raining to beat the band here, right now. I believe that we drove through Walterboro Sunday on our way home! and now I read that you weren't even there. Edited by kns57 2013-04-22 8:44 AM |

And there was an oreo sundae involved yesterday. 2 weeks in a splint and she should be good to go. Supposed to get heavy rain and storms here today. I'm glad I'm tucked safely into my recliner. Awesome that her bone is growing well, and healing. Ice cream sundae's always help the healing process. |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good morning Ghoulies! I ran Saturday, but yesterday no workout. I did spend the whole afternoon though helping DH put together a swingset for the 3 year old granddaughter at their house. It is one of those wooden ones with the "fort" and slide, a bench and window, a ladder and of course swings and a trapeze bar. We didn't quite finish. It still has to have a sealant put on and then the last of it put together. Swingsets have sure changed since I was little! |
