oh geez, top o' the page. i ALWAYS get caught there!!!

anyway, i was going to say, leslie, DO go in if you get a chance, they have D's there, but i don't think anything OVER. check out their website, you'll get an idea of size stuff.

how old is your "nursling" ?? my littlest is 15 months, but i tandem nursed my two yongest for like 3 months (won't do THAT again!!) so i've been nursing straight through for about 4 years. you'd think a poor mamma would get a BREAK!! LOL
BUT since working out, and doing tri's i've gone from a 38D to a 36C -- so a lot more of the CUTE bras fit me now!! hooray!!

Tandem nursing, eh?  I bought the books and was ready to go there, but thankfully didn't have to!  My nursling is 2 1/2 years old.  I nursed #1 (who turned 5 in January) until I was 6 mo pregnant.  So basically I have been either pregnant or nursing for around six years.  I need my body back, it is getting really annoying!  I know that I will be sad in a few years when they are teenagers and want nothing to do with me that I didn't nurse until they were in junior high school. Ha.  It's not a constant nursing thing, just bedtime basically, and when he wants to annoy me!  I am feeling like I am done with it, and gonna give weaning a try, although I am not very good at the screaming that results from saying no....which is how I got here in the first place, I guess!  And if VS would just up those cup sizes, I'd buy a couple.  You'd think, in their line of work, they'd want to have representatives of the *ahem* higher letters.  So, now that everyone is aware of my personal reproductive and mammarial (is that a word?) history.......how about that biking??

Well Guys (the men in the group), I don't quite know how to respond to the recent comments.

Could you imagine us talking about which side of the saddle we 'lean' to. Just a little left of centre myself. And as for riding in the freezing cold, just where does it disappear to? And they think they have problems.

Just a quick question girls, what do you do when you need a pee on a ride? Bibshorts must be a real pain.

Nursing for 2.5 years? Is that the sort of thing they recommend these days? My kids got less than a year! My 16yo son got only a few weeks due to poor milk production. He's almost 6 foot tall, so I don't think it hurt him much

Yes, you do have some issues of your own, don't you guys?  Can't imagine having to sit on the bits while riding!  And as for peeing on the bike....until I am a professional triathlete and have to just pee on myself while riding (hell will be long since frozen), I choose to get off the bike at a nice bathroom, preferably at a Starbucks!

Here's some info on that:  http://www.kellymom.com/bf/bfextended/ebf-benefits.html

Basically, it goes into detail on this:

  • Nursing toddlers benefit NUTRITIONALLY
  • Nursing toddlers are SICK LESS OFTEN
  • Nursing toddlers have FEWER ALLERGIES
  • Nursing toddlers are SMART
  • Nursing toddlers are WELL ADJUSTED SOCIALLY
  • Nursing a toddler is NORMAL
  • MOTHERS also benefit from nursing past infancy
  • Everyone I know who has bf for a long time has not set out to do it on purpose, it just happened.  I am not judgmental regarding bf at all.  I always hope moms do it and try their best, but if it doesn't work out, that's the way it goes and there are alternatives!  I originally said I'd do it for six months, go back to work, etc etc.  And here I sit, still nursing and not working (at a paid job, that is!).....

with my three year old, when i weaned her, i was only giving it to her to go to sleep, and right when she woke up in the morning, then i got rid of the morning one, just quickly getting up and getting her b-fast. then by the time my baby-baby was 3 months old, i just tried putting her to bed without it, and she was fine. so it worked out ok. but the tandem thing was INSANE. dh works swing, so i'd be sitting on the couch with both of them on me, sound asleep, and i couldn't figure out how to get either of them off me without them waking up! it was ridiculous. now the baby thinks if i'm in a sitting position at ALL that he needs to be on there. (like NOW actually) but i remember my older being this way, it all passes eventually.

sorry fellas, please feel free to talk about your bits, or whatever other boy thing that needs to be addressed. if i may be so bold, male swimwear is a good topic

all this tandem talk....I only had one....and although I began nursing her....I stopped...for selfish reasons...she did not like it when I drank my glass  or glasses of wine and she would get a rash...SO, I bottle fed her and bottle fed me, too! am I a bad mommy!?! she sure turned out really good!! I hope I had something to do with that!?

Well Guys (the men in the group), I don't quite know how to respond to the recent comments.

Could you imagine us talking about which side of the saddle we 'lean' to. Just a little left of centre myself. And as for riding in the freezing cold, just where does it disappear to? And they think they have problems.

I just ride this bike...then I do not have to worry! and when my DH rides with me...we take this bike.... and if I am feeling a little modest...and do not want to be seen pooing and that sort a thing...I ride this bike........much better then doing this......and plus hate to see what grew on those bushes after that attack!!

finally a little toilet humor for Allyssa and Leslie...and thier little ones...
