chadtower - 2008-05-07 5:04 PM True, and lots of shelves. There are three pinball machines in there too so I'd have something to do. Of course, no electricity, I might get overrun by pirates who don't know about Ohm's Law.

I'm always suprised by the number of people who don't know Ohm's Law...

Do you know how important the concept is?  When I was studying acoustics, ohm's law became the conceptual hinge for many analog systems... like transducer systems could be modeled as if they were an electrical model... or a mechanical  model...

The electrical V=iR... could be translated into general terms like
[Effort]={flow} <Impedance>

It seems so simple but it is SOOOO powerful.

it's freakin' awesome!

I was a math major, but for whatever reason struggled with Physics.  Don't know why.

lvthgme - 2008-05-07 9:04 PM In my professional opinion, TAN has a high percentage of nerds, compared to the BT population at large.  By "nerd" I mean those who are either quite good at or interested in mathematics, chemistry, engineering, even music.  Now...what the HECK am I doing here???

Because pretty people are magnetically drawn to nerds?

Actually, I'm very anal regarding spelling.  I must fall outside the Venn Diagram.

lvthgme - 2008-05-07 7:15 PM And the spelling thing earlier...I'm very sorry really. I have an older brother. He was an English major. English errors resulted in severe mocking or physical pain soooooo...they matter some to me.

No need to apologize...as long as you don't remove the avatar photo.
