lastcall2003 - 2009-05-26 7:31 PM Hi Nibbs!

is anyone around?

I'm around now.  Went to knitting night at my yarn store.  Once a month, they stay open late and have a night to hang out and knit.  I got a 10 minute chair massage, too.  My shoulders feel a ton better.  They were sore after my ride on Saturday.

That sounds like a great night Jen!

It was.  I got some new sock yarn - it's merino and bamboo:

yarn

Is bamboo soft?

This is really soft.  Softer than the pair I made out of 100% wool.  The colors seemed really springy to me.

Spokes - 2009-05-27 10:40 AM All true, but at current #ers I'm on pace to ride 4,000+ miles this year or somewhere between 3500-4000 if I cut it back this fall. I'd rather have the ride mileage than the post #ers

Some of us are going for both... Im going to be pretty well ahead of all my TOTALS for 2008 by mid year this year...

Its kind of awesome really

Nice to be healthy, isn't it?

Well mostly... dont mention the ITB!

I joined team luna Chix for a group workout yesterday.  It was great.  Getting together with other triathletes (and BTers) is great.  I feel so much more positive and optimistic about my training.  They do a weekly group workout...I am hoping to make it regularly.

There are a few companies that make some crazy bamboo yarn - Tofutsies is one of them.  Can't remember the other one.

kns57 - 2009-05-26 4:18 PM Hello Nibbs.  Long time no see.  Been a crazy couple of weeks here and I'm hoping to get back to training this week.  I need to because I've got a 62 mile bike ride coming up on June 6th.   I've talked several people into doing the 30 mile ride that day.  Should be fun.
When you say "62 mile bike ride," are you talking about a bike that you have to pedal, or one that comes with its own engine? 'Cause these days, I never know. LOL

Bicycle!

Good God... you and Beth are barely apart and at 22K+ posts.

I'd still be ahead of you both if I didn't have this thing called work and The Blonde.

Meh - posts are posts... I kind of havent been keeping track...

All I have to do is stay within shouting distance of you both, and pass you sometime at the end of June when The Blonde is at a conference in Vegas for a couple of days. I can easily post 200-300x in one day. Bwhahahahaha.

Cat will pass you again in July.
Well, gee. I should have kept reading. Then, I could have just said: "Yeah, what Jen said ^^^."

Mine seems to be slowly getting better... which is good because nothing will stop me riding my bike tomorrow!

I went running again today.  My legs feel fine, but my insides hurt!  I get side stitches, pain in my right side, and pain under my ribs.  No idea why.

I'm trying to decide if I should stick with the intermediate group for marathon training team or drop down to beginner.  First week is either 6 miles or 3 miles.  Right now, I'm not sure I can last 6 miles.  My insides hurt.

What do you guys think?
