Big plans for the weekend?

WA Christmas plans --

Work today. 

This weekend, finish granddaughter's Christmas stocking.  Wrap last of the presents. Grocery shop for Christmas Eve dinner and the rest of the week.

Monday - work.

Tuesday - coffee with friends. Clean house.  Cook Eve dinner - bbq chicken, cheese & crackers, fruit & veggie finger food.  Stuff the stockings.

About 5 pm, have Christmas with DH, step-daughter, and granddaughter.  Food , presents, stockings, and such.

Christmas Day - just hang out at home with DH and pups.

Thursday & Friday - work 1/2 days.

New Year's eve - low key party at friends.

New Year's Day - Have stepdaughter & granddaughter over for Turkey dinner.

Hobbit movie, "The Desolation of Smaug", here I come!

Good morning Ghoulies!

I got my project finished and turned in last evening. WOOT!

I'm in the office today. I have tomorrow and Wednesday off. I'm hoping to work from home on Thursday. Then on Friday I'll be in the office because Keri is going to a pitching clinic on the other side of town, so when I'm done working I'm going to go over there and watch.

I still want to see the first Hobbit movie, and the second, and the second Thor. Too much to do and too little time.

Ann - I have enjoyed the Hobbit movies and the Lord of the Rings movies.  I go purely for the entertainment factor.  The first Hobbit movie did not leave you hanging as much as this one did.  Talk about a cliffhanger.  I have not seen the Thor movies.  Guess I should see the first one before the second one.  We usually rent movies from Redbox, but now that we have a Roku, we have been using the Amazon Prime to see some things.  

I LOVE Amazon Prime. You can see Thor there.

I've read the books for The Hobbit and LOTR. I've seen the LOTR movies, need to see The Hobbit now.

We are going to try and make these this afternoon

I now have motivation to get fit!

Keri is mocking me because she has bigger muscles than I do. Not a wise move on her part this close to Christmas, but I will show her MUSCLES!!!

That made me giggle. Go you, show her who her Mamma is!

We had a great weekend. Saturday we picked up the boy who is home from Panama for the holidays. We went to the annual caroling at the Clarke's farm. Yesterday we went to his girlfriends parents house for the afternoon, evening. We snacked, played games, made pizza, opened presents then got home about midnight! fun was had by all.  Today the hubbies brother is coming for his annual visit. It is awkward every time, due to the separation of the family home that happened about 6 years ago. (too long and too boring of a story to relate). I am working this morning, then when he gets here, I am going to do an "emergency trip to town'.

This ain't  my first family avoidance rodeo!

The rest of the holiday plans are going to be "by ear". Evidently the Girl has drama and may not have a ride home. This may mean the hubbie, or the hubbie and I or just I may be making a trip to Chattanooga to pick her up. Wow! 10 hours in the car on Christmas. Day. Fun..... NOT!!!

Running and hiding are always good strategies for getting projects done!

I worked on it yesterday morning when they went to church. I took a break, went and saw the kiddos in the children's program, then came home. I just couldn't get anything done with them in the house. :-/
