All kinds of good little bugs. You? I did that for about two months at the Oscar Mayer plant. It was interesting. Right now, I'm in a microbiology lab. I'm working on gene expression in cardiology patients (well...eventually). My work is mainly ironing out protocols so that we are ready once our patient study begins. Today, I'm isolating mononuclear cells from blood. It's probably the coolest thing I've done in awhile. OK I fell dumm now. |

Actually, I haven't worked in the lab itself in quite a few years. Now mainly administrative. I develop protocols for testing new food products to help determine things like Shelf Life, reaction to innoculation (in case the food does become accidentally contaminated), evaluating processing parameters (time and temperature and how or if it kills bacteria), etc. Mainly applied research.
