I pre-booked at Moody from Thurs night leaving on Monday ....but might change to arrive friday- leave monday.
Don't really want to ante for 4 nights in the hotel on my own. Wife may be coming. She's not really committed yet.

OK, I got a problem...  I was cruising around Amazon the other day and they had the Garmin 305 for $140...  That's like $160 off the list price.  I know that it is the older model, but it will serve my purpose just fine.  However, my wife gets nutted up everytime I buy anything from like the first of October until Christmas every year - you know, why did you buy that with Christmas so close, stop buying yourself Christmas presents, yada-yada-yada... 

So, anyway, I convice her to let me buy it to be from her to me for Christmas.  After I bought it, she adds, but you won't get to open it until Christmas...  Now I have to figure out how to make Christmas come early (like this Thursday...)  Anyone got any ideas?

Tell your wife that you need to use immediately to make sure it is working ok. If you wait until Xmas and it doesn't work you wont be able to return it because it is outside the return period. Wink

Pretty crazy.  But awesome race man, 1st OA is badass


Haha, yeah, if this was a well run race, then I would have been 3rd... or disqualified for not staying on course.  So I'll  'settle' with my second place finish.   Just a mess.  I'd say that I won't run it again, but it's in my town, less than 2 miles away from my house and I always run around this area - read: Hometown advantage.  If I do this again next year, I'll need to *know* the course.

Ahh well.  I'm over it now.  Pouting done... mostly.

I'll look around, but I think Best Buy has the FR 305 for $150 as the everyday price - new.  Let me look around, but I say hold off.  The price will drop as Christmas gets closer as more people will be buying the 310.
