Master 2033 | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Any West Coast Conference peeps? Nope, we had some great individual performances, but also had a few people quit and one very unfortunate injury... The west was dead LAST in the run challenge. Does anyone know how to make one of those little charts with links to everyones logs? We need to start some inspiring to keep everyone going! |

I am a dud with regard to creating nifty stuff like charts. I can do excel, but doing it on line with links might be a stretch. |

This is the list of team members and goals that I have so far....let me know if there is anybody that I have forgotten, or if I got your goal wrong.
Like I said, let me know if there is anybody that I forgot.... |

Subject: RE: March Challenge - Any West Coast Conference peeps? I have no worries about this group and this challenge. My three top reasons for my confidence: 1)Nothing stands in the way of a ride for our team members. Madcow went over 5 hours with fluid and old gels scavenged from his car after discovering that he left his water bottles at home. Piggpen35 does his miles pulling his daughter MsPigglet. Betyoursilver puts in extra miles looping back for his roommate who hasn't experienced enough flats to realize that a preride check of tire pressure is a must. Stampinann gets bike time in along with T1 classes and ice hockey games. That is only a handful of examples of the dedication of this team. 2)We have a team full of motivators. Thanks EVERYONE for the 'Inspire Me' messages. 3)We are consistent. Everyone put in some time on the bike during the first week. Time on the bike each week = Goal Achieved. Consistency also prevents injuries. Follow your training plans so that you get stronger and don't risk overuse injuries. We don't want anyone on our team to be cramming their miles in the last week. Chip away at your goal each week--just like we all are doing already! I am doing the updates on Sunday afternoon, so if you have Sunday bike times that are entered onto your logs after I completed this update, don't worry. The time will get picked up on next week's update. Let's all aim to be at or pretty darn close to 45-50% (or better) by next Sunday. GO TEAM! Piggpen35 14 hrs 2 hrs. 12 mins. (16%) Betyoursilver 20 hrs 5 hrs. 37m 26 s ( 28%) Zagagirl 6 hrs 2 hrs 30 m (41%) Madcow 22 hrs 7 hrs 8 m (33%) Mcarla 6 hrs 1 hr (17%) StampinAnn 10 hrs 1 hr. 13 min (12.5%) T in Liberty Lake 22 hrs 7 hrs 21 min (33%) Jerryrika 500 K 62 K (12.4%) |

Hey Michele: Would you please post your roster with goals to the "March Team Meeting ..." thread and add your team's weekly results in the attached Excel format to the "March Madness Weekly Results" thread. (Both are in the process of being push-pinned to the top of the forum). Thanks much! - Brian zagagirl - 2006-03-05 8:00 PM I have no worries about this group and this challenge. Subject: RE: March Challenge - Any West Coast Conference peeps? HuongSolo built a great excel table and it is attached. Our team is really doing great. I enjoyed biking so much, and my husband gave me a trainer for my birthday last month, so I bumped my goal from 6 to 10 hrs. Sachinh, do you want me to track your goal by time and miles or do you want to go with one or the other? Great job everyone. Attachments ---------------- MARCH PAC 10 WCC.xls (19KB - 33 downloads) |

Pro 3705 Vestavia Hills | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Any West Coast Conference peeps? Haven't really thought through the ramificationsof track both time and distance, but am afraid that it might goof the formulas associated with reaching the individual's goal ... e.g. if the participant does 50% of the 2 hours time and 100% of the 400 mile distance ... then is it 75% goal obtainment? Being one prone to sleep in during statistics + weighted averages in college due to an affinity for beer, I think it is better to stick with one metric or the other. zagagirl - 2006-03-06 12:58 PM HuongSolo built a great excel table and it is attached. Master 2033 | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Any West Coast Conference peeps? There is no way I'll be at 50% by the end of the week... I'm on a rest week, AND in a short mini taper for a race on Sat, but I will be at goal by the end of the month. Its all in the plan! No worries! Way to go everyone we are all doing great! I got another 50 minutes in today. The Canadians are goin down! |

Subject: RE: March Challenge - Any West Coast Conference peeps? I'm not worrying about anybody on our team. 45-50% is not a mandate, only friendly encouragement. I know we have lots of experienced triathletes following training plans so it's all good. I'll be a little below the mark on Sunday also, I think. Brad, you got me thinking crazy and I bumped up my goal to 10 hrs. What was I thinking???? I hold you responsible for my momentary insanity!

We need to start some inspiring to keep everyone going! Have been tinkering around with a team perf. chart . Have attached both the chart and the updated excel file too . Seems like the chart is not rendered in its complete form so may look a l'il ugly ;) . If anyone knows how to make it render better do let me know ... That would be ideal as everyone can see how they are doing without having to open up the excel file .

Zagagirl, I just noticed that on the Excel file, my first week distance is wrong....it should be 62.77Km...not 153. Thanks, I just wanted to let you know. I believe that with that change, we are still in first place Jerry |
