I never understood prostitution or escorts - have no interest and don't care if it's legal or not.

The ones I have seen her in Vegas working the casinos?  Or worse, the streets?  I can't imagine paying ANYTHING for it, even if it WAS legal.

Maybe if they gave ME a couple hundred bucks???

Based on her picture?  Not even close to being worth $600/hr.

I really don't see what the big deal is (well, I mean, I understand the media machine...but I don't know why anyone gets their panties in a twist about it).

She wasn't conscripted into a life of servitude. It's not sex trafficking. She isn't a minor. She's not forced to give BJs to syphilitic abusers on street corners.

She had a fantasy, tried it...found out she liked it, and lived the dream. I mean, who doesn't want to be able to pick up some extra cash while indulging in a hobby they love. Isn't that teh secret to a successful career and life fulfillment? Of course, when the story breaks, she gives us the "Oh, I shoudln't have done it...I'm getting 'help'" line, but that could be a media thing (and probably is, to at least some degree).

Nor do we know about her relationship with her husband. When she says "well, he doesn't care for it, but he knows..." doesn't care doesn't necessarily mean "THIS MUST STOP NOW OUR LIVES ARE OVER." It could also mean "I don't really like that my husband goes ice fishing all day twice a week, and would prefer he didn't, but...eh..." or "I would prefer my spouse worked fewer hours/travelled less/etc." We don't know.

She apparently has a set of skills that she is good at--and that she enjoys using. You go girl. It's just sex. People enjoy sex. People enjoy companionship. She enjoys spending time with people and having the sex. YAY FOR EVERYONE.

I really do not think any less of her whatsoever for doing it. If anything, the one thing i would be sort of eh... about would be her saying "ooh, I'm so sorry, I'm getting help, I have a problem" etc. if it really wasn't true and she just says it b/c she got caught. THAT gets tiresome.

I would agree with everything you wrote if she didn't have a young daughter.  Not so yay for her.
