Not to worry - my chastity is in tact! I'm saving my virginity for my second marriage.

Is that when you plan on doing your bike training too?

And I don't see any bike races ... cept maybe jeng's... on anyone of the Gear Goddesses Chicks plates this weekend.

8.5 hours on a bike is nothing when you're only riding 10-11 mph... with a tailwind. Downhill.

I mean, check out this action... Sat - 4 mile ITT, 40 mile RR - in 97F temps. Sunday - 30 minute crit + 2 laps. I should log around 60 miles this weekend and do it in a helluva lot less time than 8.5 hours LOL

Challenge, you call that challenge? (I hear adventure racing is great!)  You should work on your bike time while doing OTHER races (go do a few triathlons) that aren't bike specific.  I mean, where's the difficulty if you only race (go run a 10k or two, or three) on the bike?

I mean if you want to race (how about a 1/2 marathon in there somewhere) there should be some extra excitement to it, I think. It would make meeting your bike challenge SO much more meaningful.

While you girls get much needed beauty sleep ...

We Ride!!!

It's 4:00 am - do you know where your bike isn't? (I dare say it is not about to embark upon a long ride at dawn)

This might aactually be funny if you hadn't overlooked that he did a triathlon just last weekend, and has run five or six running races already this year. So much for only racing on the bike.

Well, Bear, I've never seen that you found ANYTHING funny, so the fact that you even responded... I think I did pretty good. (I have seen you make this exact comment before, though...)

And yeah, I DID know the race history, but the tri was last weekend after all.  In the favor of talking smack I decided to disregard that.  (Isn't that the fine art?)  And the running races?  Well, they're history and I'm just looking forward.

I really doubt you can pull up a comment I made that someone's racing was bike-centric, when they have in fact have done a plethora of recent running races. I find quite a bit funny on here (oh, is that some more of your non-fact-based smack?), and I usually respond when someone, anyone makes such an erroneous statement, so don't feel special.

No, the "fine art" is taking the facts (past and present) and using them to formulate your smack, not making comments that don't even relate to the, uh, "smackee."

202/400 ladies. That's the sound of you goals being squashed by my 216lb. self in clydesdale boots. Darn, if I knew 400 miles would be this easy and that the ladies would roll over like this, I would have pledged more. Alas, your smack rings hollow, like empty pledges of miles by GOG. San Dimas TBI rules!

Didn't say that.  What I was referring to was the FACT that I (personally) have never seen a thread where you directly commented that something tickled your funny bone.  Not to say that a thread does not exist where you express such sentiments, just that I've never seen it myself.  Now, I am not claiming to have read every thread you've ever posted on, as I read what I'm interested in which may (or may not be) threads you post on.

However, I HAVE seen threads where you posted that something was not funny for some reason or other.

Okay, somewhat biased sample, I admit.  But I am basing it on facts pulled from my experience on these boards.

Well, IMO it DOES relate, as I am specifically talking about June not what said smackee did in prior months.  (I mean, if he did all those running races, he should do some more in June, right?) But, I will concede that I should have worked something in there about how the smackee should do a few more triathlons in June, cause hey, one just isn't enough.

I do NOT concede that my smack was bad smack though.  Although your opinion may vary (and quite obviously does.)
