Thanks to the JMWebs family - that passed out giganto carrots right before the finish line - wow did that give me that final push I needed. Thanks to Dave, who as big of a smart as he is, still came back out on the course to cheer me on and run in the last donkey. Thanks to TripletMom, who cheered me on as she smoked by me on the bike, and Clint (Cweniger...or however you spell that), who gave me a much needed high five on the run out. Thanks to Joe Runner, who yelled at me as I was starting the run. Congrats to Jesse (BunnyT), who did his first open water swim. Congrats to TripletMom (who took second in our age division). Congrats to PJ (who, as usual, smoked her age division). Everyone did an excellent job, and I, at least, had a great time. Whew, first Oly in the books. Maybe next time I'll actually be able to sleep the night before, eh? I'm probably forgetting someone.... I'm really tired. |
