OKay... before everybody goes to bed... gotta  a little fun to share....

1st off... cheap tri bike (maybe $1800 - $2000) and pricey Cervelo (easy $6K)  which one gets to ride in the back of the car and which on the roof...

Yep!  The Cervelo....

Hahahaha... he was staring out the sun roof the whole way watching it....
Though we did take it off when the cross winds got bad on the way home, lucky he's a small guy and it fit in the back seat

So we got a late start and forgot the maps (trying to find Sat's route to check it out)...
Got lost trying to even find park fo rstarting point...
Got lost on bike (thank god I won't be climbing the hill that I climbed today - It SUCKED!!!)
Thought about doing the run, but cut it short b/c it was 6pm by now...

Oh, and the lake pond... well, it certainly does remind me of the bayou's back home, so maybe I'll be more confortable in than I thought...  (they DON'T have water mocassins in UT, right?)  It looks like it would have some perfect specimans for petri dishes.... wonder WHAT wouldn't grow???

I DID get another wet suit... and it certainly does fit differently...

Oh...and I'm thinking about trying one of these:

Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Moisture SPF 15

Oil of Olay Complete Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 - Sensitive Skin

People seem to think either are ok, but haven't gotten a sense of the greasy factor.

I use the Olay Complete SPF 30. I use the sensitive skin variation. It is not greasy or smelly and it doesn't make my face break out. And I am uber fair-skinned and sensitive. Now if I could just find a spray on sunscreen for the rest of my bod that doesn't make me break out.

Yeah, no kidding.  I'm using Banana Boat Ultra Defense, but I haven't tried the spray version.  That usually results in bad things.

I use a banana boat face sunscreen. it looks like a huge chapstick . For everything but the face, I use the spray on type. Have you guys tried the neutrogena spays with helioplex? I love those, and they are "cooling" when you apply them. I'm currently using a coppertone sport spray, and I like it so far. I don't like the sprays you have to rub in after you spray them on. I mean, really, what's the point in that?

Hi Nibbs.... just 33 minutes since i got online I finally managed to load up BT and Nibbs... I cant even load up my training log or anything... this is the worlds SLOWEST dial up connection.

Since I cant connect to email or anything I did want to let you all know Im ok. Ashes came home today and I will be back in Oz on Sunday afternoon (my time)

Wish I could get online to 'chat' but as you can see it would take at least 20-30 minutes for me to load each page.... not quite doable is it?

Hope someone wont mind updating me on what Ive missed that last couple of weeks when I get back! (Kamikaze Geckos huh?)

Im missing all my BT friends but Im definatley glad I came home.

Take Care

Cat

I did Pam's crazy workout this morning.  Sweatfest is just the beginning of describing it....and I had a hard time maintaining that cadence too.

Good morning, Nibbs.

Preparing to go on a short bike ride this morning. Taking full advantage of the last day of school.

Heather - I know about getting lost, too. Definitely sucks in a mountainous region.
Cat - Glad you checked in and things are ok.
Kristen - Monkeys are up early today!

Today my kids will be having a mock meet to prepare them for the real deal tomorrow night. I am so glad I am busy so I don't have time to dwell on the HIM. Had to share this. My supervisor called me yesterday morning as I was on my way to DS's awards ceremony. He wanted to see if there was any way I could work yesterday afternoon from 3:30 - 7:30. I answered the phone and he started off with "I already know your answer, but I thought I would ask anyway, just in case..." That's when I started laughing. Dude, I've told you for months that I'm unavailable the first two weeks of June. I'm not lying. I really am busy. I knew he was desperate to call. Apparently the instructor he put in charge of afternoon lessons did not do what she was supposed to and he got an earful of complaints after lessons on Monday.

Yes, it does.  I stretched the warm up and cool down to make the 70 minutes my plan called for.  It was hard watching the time on my HRM with the cadence on the bike, they don't interconnect .  I thought I had cleared the data from Mondays ride but evidently didn't so I couldn't use the time on the bike meter.  Plus I would have constantly had to switch between cadence and time which would have defeated the purpose of everything.  Sigh, I'll get it yet
