This should be a current table updated from Artemis' latest.  Didn't see Bp74's name from posts, so we'll add that after the intro.

Sorry for the late entry everyone.

My name is Brian, and I am here to cluck some butt! My main objective is to put some miles in and get faster. This will be my biggest month miles wise, but only about 10% more than last so should be doable without injury. This first week will end with a tri on Sunday, I can't wait.

Went to the gym tonight to run...closed for Labor Day.

Ate Pizza & drank a glass of wine after my 12-hour shift instead.

Tomorrow is another day.

I promise I'll get my 9 miles in this week!

If you're trying to figure out how to put our team roster in your log, please read page 1 of our thread, where our dear leader explains how to

  • reply with a quote
  • preview the reply
  • copy the html
  • paste it into your goals section

presto!

If that's not what you're asking...sorry!

It was explained for the html illiterate me!

My goal has been raised from 50 to 80 miles. I must not have been thinking when I set the original goal, as I ran almost 60 miles in August and I missed some runs. And, September is still building for a November marathon.

I suppose I could have left my goal at 50 and used the extra miles to make up for a slacker teammate, but I'm making the bet that none of my teammates are slackers.

I'll make that same bet.

I do however, need some encouragement, I am switching to a morning training program tomorrow. I plan to wake up about 5:30 and run for 45 mins. Wish me luck.

good work for everyone who hit the ground running this month. I have ran the past two days, if you could call it running, stupid GI issues.

Anyway, plan on being back on track tommorow at lunch.

The team spreadsheet is created - so get in there & log your miles!!!

Remember...that which is not logged has not been run according to the running god (starter of the challenge).

I just copied the Artichokes spreadsheet & put our info into it - Gotta run, not waste time creating spreadsheets!  To log your miles, just go this website:

Google Documents BT Challenge

the username is btchallenge

the password is challengeforum

Our Spreadsheet is easily named:  September Running Challenge Chanticleers

There are 2 sections - A summary section on the top - don't log your miles here!

Please log your miles in the section on the bottom & it automatically feeds to the summary!!!

THANK YOU to the Artichokes for working so hard creating the spreadsheet!

I feel your pain Brian.  Our 1 year old daughter has had a stomach virus/flu/whatever for a week.  She's finally over it but of course I was next in line to get it.   At least it didn't start until after the weekend race.   Got 3.1 miles in today despite the problems, but going to be a tough next few days I think.

On a positive side, at least stomach viruses only last a few days, usually. :-) Hope you feel better!

Did you get the run in this morning? My advice for running in the morning is to not allow your brain to think about what time it is or how dark it is outside. The minute I let my mind go there, I am sleeping in. What works is to immediately get yourself out of bed. Good luck!

Morning training is the way to go!   Was tough for me to adjust the first few weeks as I had always been a night exerciser.  But, with family now it's much easier to get up and have the bike or run done before work.

Do you log your training in the BT logs?  Usually it's required that you also log them there so we can check your log against the spreadsheet.

Great job so far team!  Everyone has run.  As of this moment, here are our Team stats:

Overall 11.42% to goal

Top Runner = Bp74 @ 19.97% of goal

fairview1100  is @ 18.2%

ggwellness is @ 17.5%

BigDH is @ 11.4%

Phillybarb is @ 8.75%

Artemis is @ 6.2%

AccidentalChef is @ 6%

Adameldridge is @ 3.33%

Some people have BIGGER goals, so their % is smaller.  Others of us didn't set the bar so HIGH.

Some have BIG RACES on the schedule, so that'll knock out some miles.

Everyone is MOVING & that's what matters.
