Veteran 171 Springfield, Illinois | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Hey Team Mother Truckers! Checking in... I'm pumped to start back on the monthly challenges after a hiatus of a few months. I'd classify myself an injury-prone frustrated runner-turned-triathlete, if you are into labels. I've been running for about six years now. Done several 5, 10, 15k, 1/2s over the years, one marathon. Last year was my first tri season. I bought a bike, and learned how to My plans for 2009 include two marathons, several more sprints, and an attempt at an oly as a challenge! I'm hoping and praying my plantar issues are over when I start running again in 10 DAYS!!!! I'm so excited!! I need motivation to get through the winter months!! This looks like the winning team already!! Good to meet all of ya! Have a happy Halloween

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge OK, since the teams are going to be uneven the winner for the challenge will be determined by a percentage instead of most points. I would hate for the team with the most team members win because of the unfair advantage. |

How much did you sign up for point wise? You could cut back by the % you won't be able to do anything. Or...most gallbladder surgery is outpt via laparoscopy (I'm a nurse...work utilization review at an insurance company) you could count stretching and such as part of the 5x/week goal. It doesn't have to be all swim/bike/run. |

I will make accomidations around your abilities. This is also part of the reason that I went to percentage over highest points. Let me know what you want to do and we will work around it. Mke sure you ake care of yourself. I can adjust the total available points to match the time that you can participate. Let me now what you would like to do. |

Yeah...I shouldn't be out of commission too long and could probably still make the full requirement with using stretching and walking as my daily PT vs. running and biking...So I am going to stick with it because 1) I need the motivation (I love the challenges because of this). 2) I don't even have a date for surgery yet 3) It will (hopefully) be laparoscopic with no complications (Judy - As you probably well know, for most that would mean it probably won't happen within the month, but I am a surgical resident so they are trying to "fit me in" on the schedule) |

Expert 1157 Tremonton, Utah | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Hey fellow truckers. I get to play they tell me. Just a little about me. I'm now just starting my 4th year in this wonderful sport. I've done lots of sprints and oly distance races. Also done 4 marathons. Mila has an evil, but gentle heart, (even if she won't admit it!) Queen Zipp is about as dedicatated as they come. ( Mila, since this is a MILITARY challenge -- I think we need a drill seargent ryhme for the team -- Can you handle that??) My goal is to keep my training consistent and on-track. With a move last year to TX, I lost my old training buddies. Now, with the exception of an occassional workout with a friend, I'm pretty much a solo act, in a serious state of getting myself back into peak shape for next season. I'm currently improving my run, but I'm still running 2 mins/mile slower over 5k than I was in my prime in 06. Thanks in advance for letting me be on your team. I promise to work hard to carry my share of the load and will jockstrap anyone who wants/needs it!

Looks really good! Could you put the names "on" the trucks? Just a thought -- but far above my skilles

Elite 3595 Quebec, Canada | Subject: RE: Mother Truckers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge That would be doable, but not easy I guess. Also the training log resize how the data is displayed and I am not sure I can control that easily. Here's a version that is more how it will look into your training log, not enough trucks for all the names hehe
