Like th new design!!  What about the front?  I sht eBT logo still going to be as large.  It kind of looked of due to being "pulled" large.  Should we keep it smaller in the right or left upper corner?  No big deal... just a thought.

Thanks to everyone working on this.

Amy, I didn't understand some of your post. I shrunk the BT logo and put in the upper left hand cornor of the front. I think that it'll be harder to spot people with the smaller logo and I don't think it looks as good there. My vote is to keep the front the same. ie, with the larger logo.

Thoughts?

oooo... I might like it shrunk and in the corner just a little bit better. This thread needs a poll!

This is what I was thinking for the shirt orders...

http://www.jonmetz.com/imky_shirts.htm

It gives people 2 options:

  1. Order on-line using Paypal
  2. Order by mail using a check

I am still working on a final price and I realize that the final design has not been agreed upon. However, I wanted to get a system for people to order the shirts started.

***Please do not actually place and order at this time***

I like it both ways.  Slight preference for the original, but with that color, something tells me that spotting others wearing the shirt will not require discerning the logo...

Looks great Jon! Don't forget to add a spot where people can donate a few bucks to the Livestrong charity.

I'd be in for one of the shirts - if it can be sent overseas! I'm in England.

OR

if I can arrange with someone to either get me a shirt or I get it sent to them and then I'll collect when in Louisville. I'm staying at the Galt House.

Ignore the bit where I talk about shipping the shirt overseas or even to one of you guys. Just not thinking straight today.

My cousin lives in California and she is also doing IMKY, so I can hopefully get it sent to her and then she can bring it with her!!

It's been a long week

I'm fine having the BT logo large & centered or smaller in the coroner.  Either way is okay with me.  :-

I'll be ready to order when everything is set up.

Can you get one if you are just volunteering?  I would love to have one of these.  So, if so, put me down for one as well.

My question exactly.  Anyway you think the printer could add Volunteer in there somewhere for those that request it upon ordering?

Probably not. There will be a min. order and the print on each of the shirts will need to be the same. However, I will look in to it and if it is an option I will add a "volunteer" option to the order form.

I don't think there is an option like that Jon. But, all IMKY BT volunteers should get a shirt. Then wear it proudly. We could not race if it was not for you. I wish I could afford to buy all of you a shirt, but since I can't, may I just say, Thank You Very Much!

The "rule" about not wearing a shirt for an event that you did not finish does not apply to non tri- jockstrappers (ie, your family) or volunteers. Last year I was disappointed that I had to put my official volunteer shirt over my BT shirt. My buddy (jeremy trains) folded his BT shirt and tucked it into the back of his shorts so the BT logo was still visible. If there is some way you can let us know your a BTer while your working don't hesitate! And thanks again all who volunteer!

Thanks for bringing that point up David.  Last year when I worked check in, I wished that I had made some sort of BT badge to wear, but I didn't think of it soon enough.  I'll have plenty of time to make one up this year.    Yoganerd and I bought cheap stencils and a fabric paint pen at the craft store and put volunteer on our shirts.  Wearing a BT shirt to identify yourself as part of a community is totally different from wearing a finisher's shirt.  I have lots of Ironman shirts that I train in to motivate me, but I'll never wear the finisher's shirt until I earn it.

Counting the people that indicated they would want 2 shirts, that makes 39. Hopefully next week I will get a firm price and we can go live with the ordering. In the mean time if you know of any other racers or volunteers let them know about the shirts...the more we buy the lower the price per shirt!

OK, the smaller logo it is. We'll leave the design open to suggestions until this Tuesday June 23, at 5:00pm. Wed morning I'll post the final design and that'll be it for changes.
