What a great tribute to Mike ! (I've been following the story) Put me down for one, and do we need to specify sizes? Medium for when it comes up.

Thanks for doing this!

Jake

Here's the link to the above design should anyone else want to tinker. Or if you'd like, tell me what you'd like to see and I'll have my wife do it, then repost.
Thanks Alice for your help!

I am working on a way for people to place orders on-line and pay using paypal (I will create a paper form that can be downloaded for those wishing to pay by check).

I have not seen any objections to the tech shirt so I will proceed in that direction. If the design is changing I need to know ASAP. I would like to try and negotiate a better price but that may be hard to do without the actual design. Thanks.

I tried to edit it, but it keeps locking up on me!  I saw this phrase "The Journey is the Reward!" or "Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever", thought either would be cool on the back.  I still like the Fleur de lis on either side of the 2009.  Love the S/B/R graphic!

I thought about "Pain is temporary. Quitting is forever," which is the title of my blog but I though it might be a little too much. Tomorrow I'll move the flour de lis around. I was trying to change it up a bit from last year, hence the up and down flour de lis, as opposed to the side to side.
Everyone feel free to throw ideas out there, I'm happy to work on this a bit.

I am in for a shirt if they are tech shirts. Has anyone priced the shirts out? My wife has an embroidery business and gets wholesale deals on things, I will get her to check in the morning to see what prices she gets.

My personal opinion about the slogan, of those mentioned -- please don't be offended anyone, it's just my personal vote!

1 = most preferred; 5 - least preferred

1. The Journey is the Reward  (pretty much sums it up for me)

2. Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever  (I do expect to be proud, but the journey is the reward...)

3.  If you think you can...  (I like the sentiment; it's just a bit long and unslogan-ish)

4.  Last year's (change is good)

5. Pain is temporary. Quitting is forever  (I agree, a bit much, and insult to injury if someone has to DNF for some reason)

I offered in to get pricing and handle the orders. I have been looking at some different pricing options but was waiting a final decision on the design. If you (your wife) can get a good price and want to handle to orders that is OK with me. Just let me know.

Put me down for one ... how bout a different color than last years?  As much as I love the bright yellow color in my wardrobe, perhaps dayglo green?  It was nice to be able to spot fellow BTers on race weekend.

Did someone mention size?  I need a medium.  Also, I think David suggested a new design.  Anyone creative and up for the challenge?

I posted the wrong link to the most updated edition of our shirt. Here is the correct link:
http://www.customink.com/designs/btedit4/13191330-2800605/hotlink?cm_ven=hotlink&cm_cat=2&cm_pla=Body_txt&cm_ite=design

And the pic again:

The color of the shirt itself is more of a day-glow green in honor of our friend who will not be racing (see the first post of this thread). And from what I understand it'll be a tech shirt.
If we order at least 50 they will be $16.57 each. I persume that if we get more than 50 they will be even less.

Last year katiemomma picked a charity and each person who bought a shirt donated a few extra dollars to Garrett's Wings. I'd like to suggest that we do this again. Of course, I'm not the one getting the orders together. If this is something we'd like to again this year I nominate Jon to pick a charity and we can make a group donation. (sorry Jon, more work for you )

Are they unisex?  If so I need one small and one medium please.  If girls get different shirts, I need one small female and one medium male.

The shirt design looks great!

Please note this is a list of people that have shown interest. I am putting together an on-line order system where people can specify quantity and size (I should have it finished in a few days). I am also working to get the price lower. I have no problem picking a charity. I did work for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) a few years back. I still have about 30 "Livestrong" yellow bracelets left from that project. If we go with LAF, I would be happy to give those out on a first come, first serve basis as people place an order for their shirts. I will also create a paper order form for those people who would rather send a check instead of using paypal.

Like th new design!!  What about the front?  I sht eBT logo still going to be as large.  It kind of looked of due to being "pulled" large.  Should we keep it smaller in the right or left upper corner?  No big deal... just a thought.

Thanks to everyone working on this.
