Happychick - 2010-08-03 11:36 PM Hello? Where is everyone? I don't want to carry on a conversation with myself

Anyway, I gotta say that had it not been for this challenge I would NOT have done my abs and most likely my last set of PT either! I had completely forgot about it and was getting ready to lay down and chill out when I remembered I hadn't done either one yet. I was about to say screw it when I thought about the challenge. Needless to say, I got my butt up and did both! Amazing what a little team motivation will do for ya!

this was me last night....I was in bed and realized I didn't get it in...out of bed, drop to the floor and got my 10 min in!

Happychick - 2010-08-04 12:23 PM Sammi and I had baby and me swim class again today which is always fun although today was the last one for a while The pool will be closed for a few weeks for maintenance so I guess its a good thing I don't have the ok from my ortho doc to swim yet, huh?!

I'm getting ready to go for a ride and do my abs then we are headed out to the tractor show. I'm hoping there are a lot of kid activities like the last one since Sammi had a blast! Otherwise, if its just a bunch of tractors that will be quite boring! Tongue out

Michelle - I have 5 year old grandson who would be in heaven if he got to walk around and look at tractors.  Even better if there was a bulldozer or two.  How about a fire truck?  Steam rollers?  Do they have any steam rollers?  You get the idea.  It was the funniest thing to watch him when he was about a year old sitting in his little chair poring over a book of pictures of construction equipment.  It just comes hard wired in some kids.  Nothing you can do about it.

Yeah and I guess neither Sammi nor I have it in us cuz it was boring! They had a cool little tractor ride with barrels the kids ride in and Sam knew exactly what it was for. Unfortunately it wasn't running while we were there so she was REALLY upset. Nothing like trying to explain to a 2 year old why the dang thing isn't running while WE are there! Undecided There wasn't anything but tractors and the onsite ambulance which of course she wanted to get in and "drive." Just the other day one of the fire guys saw us looking at the trucks and let her play inside the fire truck and ambulance so Sam was mad when I told her she couldn't drive this one! Go figure!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm a last minute addition to your team!  This is perfect for me--working on core strengthening was already my new goal for the new school year (I'm a teacher).  Normally, it's the first thing to go from my workout routine when I start pressing snooze a few times.  I know this will keep me accountable.  I'm planning to work on lots of planks--I hate them, but I think they are just what I need.

LeahDD - 2010-08-04 11:29 AM Hi everyone.  Last night I put an X in the box because I intended to do a core workout, but while I was looking at core workout videos on YouTube, I fell asleep.  When my husband woke me up to go to bed, it was all over.  But I did Crossfit today and that always works your core so I am counting that.

Now, here's the issue.  I went to the spreadsheet this morning to change the X from yesterday to today and it won't let me.  Is anyone else having any problems?  I've got the right number of X's (3), but they are in the wrong boxes.  I don't know if it is my work computer and maybe at home it will be OK or what.

We are still in first place, but No More Love Handles is gaining on us.

We are all doing really well, except Shermbelle who has yet to post any workouts.  Shermbelle, dude, work that core and help us march on to victory.   It's only ten minutes - you can do it!!!

I went in and updated Mike's (Shermbelle) as he did do something Monday but hasn't posted anything in his blog since. Hello? Mike? You still with us?

Leah ~ I was able to update yours as well so i'm thinking it might be your computer!?

Yeah I am here, 4 for 4 so far. Heading to Vegas with friends in the morning and I think I am pushing 50 hrs of working since Monday ( I am self employed and everything fell in my lap all at once) but I am keeping up with the abs portion of training at least.

You are right Michelle.  I would not be doing my core workout if it wasn't for this challenge.  Feeling it a bit in the abs.  Yeah!

Went for a short bike ride yesterday on my steelie.  My new bike has a flat.  I hope to get it fixed today, but it is  a heavy workday today.  Right now I am trying to wake up and decide whether to jog this morning or tonight. Smile

Soooo, which one won out?

LOL...  I'm a pretty slow starter in the AM, so I didn't jog until tonight.  Then I forgot my Core until bedtime, BUT a just finished it, got it logged, and now I can go to bed!

What's on everyone's agenda today?

We are taking Sammi over to a lake and it should be fun...we've never been there before so we'll all be exploring a new area.

As for workouts...core and PT (of course) but I also need to get a run in and I'm thinking it will have to be a stroller run after Sammi's nap but i'll find a way to get it done!!

Hey team!

Got my workout in this morning... a very hot and humid run and core and lower body strength session.  Not sure what's going on the rest of the day... probably studying more for the GMAT which is not fun at all so I'm probably going to have to use reading my new running book as motivation.

Hope everyone's having a great day!

Ok I have a plan but I thought I would check it out here if it is ok.
Friday is supposed to be my rest day.  One day a week off is good for rebuilding greater strength.
So...I thought tonight I would do a pilates workout at 11:50 pm until 12:10 am tomorrow.
Then when I got up I wouldn't have to train again until Saturday and I could still check each day as done.

Is this legal?

Hey all! Sorry I've been quiet...we have been going nonstop since yesterday morn! We are driving to Whidbey island this morn to get new I'd cards and I decided to check in using my favorite toy-my iPhone Arnt ~ Did you get a hold of Kat? What did she say? Or I hope you at least went ahead and did what you had planned as I personally don't see a problem with it! As long as you get your 10 mins in each day it doesn't matter how, where, or what time it gets done! MY opinion of course! Where is everyone? What are your plans for the weekend?

I guess I'm a dodo.  I can't put x's in the boxes.  I mean, I did it the first couple days, but now I can't.  Anyway, if someone wants to go and give me x's for the 5th and 6th, that would be great.  Thanks.

Long bike ride on tap this morning and then my core workout tonight.

Does anyone use any YouTube videos for their core workout and if so, which one(s)?  I use 8 Minute Abs, but I want some variety.
