jessicacrouchrt - 2011-01-06 10:27 AM could you expound on the droid/calorie counter/barcode reader thing??? I have an EVO, and use the WW point calculator sometimes, but don't really keep track of my diet as much as I should. I am 35 now, so I guess some of the pain could be contributed to aging, but I only started training/running in my very late 20's and early thirties anyway and never had any(other than sore muscles) pain so I'm not 100% convinced that's the problem. I will try the green tea and glucosamine, though, that can't hurt!

I found the calorie counter app on the droid market, after searching calorie counter.  It's free to download and the icon is two footprints on a yellow scale.

Starting Weight Jan 5- 212.5 BF 17.7 %
First Weigh in- Jan 12- 215.4

Yikes, going the wrong way! However, considering I ran 39.3 miles this weekend at Disney, I am going to cut myself a little slack here.
Tracking calories and trying to come up with a good re-hab program for my achilles.
Planning on building my bike volume up and doing some core workouts to help fix imablances from compensating for my achilles for a year.

166 on Jan 5th
166 on Jan 12th

Neither up nor down.   Under normal eating and training conditions my weight seems to cycle weekly.   Weekly training volume is around 7-10 hrs per week moderate intensity.   Weekends when I don't have the regular work/training/eating patterns seem to be the problem.

Nice job everyone!  Slow and steady it is.  I am down about a pound since last week, which is OK by me.  Been trying to eat better, but had a bit of a bad day with that yesterday!  Its a new day and a new week for the weigh in!

Start 167, 01/12/11 166.

Maybe I will put together a spreadsheet for us to track this easier.

Starting Weight - 159.5

Week 1 - 158

I'll take a pound and a half.  Slow and steady is my motto for this challenge.  I am committed to changing my eating habits.  Today is Day 9 of completely clean eating!

Great job to everyone so far!  Stay inspired!

Ultimate goal weight 145

Starting weight: 165.5
Jan 12: 163.5

Ok- Off to a good start. I haven't been the best about my eating, but I have been conscious of what I am putting in my mouth and making good/better decisions the majority of the time.
I'm most happy about my consistancy with cycling this week. 2 long rides this past weekend and some sessions on a spin bike. Just ordered a trainer online last night. Hopefully this will help motivate me to keep my eating in check.

Great job everyone who has lost weight!

Holding steady at 220 I have been resting my knee while I wait for my appointment with the ortho, but with as much attention as I've been paying to my diet, I'm pretty disappointed with the scale not moving at all.

Good job to you all on being off to a great start! I'm going to catch up as soon as I can walk with no pain!

OK Folks, there is a spreadsheet in the BTChallenge Google Docs called 15 Pounds in 15 Weeks  I entered in the people who posted weigh ins today.  If I missed anyone, there is space to add more at the bottom of the document, go ahead and enter yourselves.

On Wedsnesdays we can individually access and enter our weights and/or post them to the thread.  The more people that stay here and stay active, the better off we all are!!!

Keep it up everyone.

So not really what I was planning. I have been watching watch I eat, and started lifting weights and started training for an up coming olympic in 20 weeks. Oh well, maybe it's more muscle.

Hey All,
Remember, weight loss isn't a smooth steady thing. If you are consistent with your healthy eating and working out, you may see a weight gain, and then a loss. Or you might see the opposite.
Don't lose focus. Each day is another chance to be healthy.

By the way, I requested access to the spreadsheet with my own google account. Can you give permission to [email protected]?

Thanks!

It's not asking for a username & password.  It's just saying I don't have access to the doc and to maybe try a different sign in account, or request to be added.  I clicked request to be added.

Apparently just signing up for a weight loss challenge doesn't make yoiu lose weight. I may need to actually put some effort into this.

OK, about the spreadsheet, I dont know about the sharing to other accounts and stuff.  All I know is that if you log into Google with the btchallenge/challengeforum identity that you can access the spreadsheet.  If you know how to share the document, then go in there and share it with yourself.  Otherwise, you will have to sign into Google as btchallenge each time you want to view or update.

If anyone out there knows more about GOogle docs, please advise.  Just making the spreadsheet in there exhausted my capabilities!

Signed in an added myself to the list of shares.
Happy to add anyone else who wants to sign in with their google account. Just put your google e-mail in here, or, as was stated, you can do it yourself when you sign in with btchallenge.
