Have I mentioned that I don't want to leave Colorado? I don't have to stay in Vail, I'd be fine with Aspen or Durango. Durango might not be as expensive.

Then I'm meeting up for a night at my buddy's cottage with a bunch of my high school friends. Should make it worth driving the 7 hours...

You get together with this group of HS friends periodically, right? I think I remember you mentioning doing a big drive / weekend with them before ...

Yea. We're a pretty tight bunch. I've actually lived with 2 of them in the past couple of years. There's a group of 11 of us who keep in constant contact (like, daily emailing, to pass the time, much like TAN). We meet up whenever possible, plan this cottage weekend at least once a year, and go visit each other a lot. At one point, we had people in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, New York, Tennessee and Australia. One of us just moved to Singapore, so that'll be tough to justify getting out there :P

Not a bad crowd when you keep this close with 10% of your high school graduating class... and by extension probably closer to 25-30%, since one of us married his HS sweetheart.

He's a friend from high school. Just started an MBA program at INSEAD, which is apparently some highly regarded international business school, based out of Singapore and France. He's only there for about 8 months, though, so I don't know if I'll be making the trip

I appreciate the thought. I can think of someone I'd really like to stay with, but I'm already seeing someone so that wouldn't turn out as well as my imagination wants it to. Also, unfortunately, I have this horrible sense of obligation to my current job, though it is slowly eroding. As for work, I could actually put my Accounting degree to use pretty easily. I heard there are positions available in Denver. I'd prefer Durango. Without a CPA I don't think I could afford to live in Vail or Aspen, and even then it would be a challenge.

Course #2 is complete.  Course #3, History of Air Power 1, begins on Monday.  Tonight I drink.  Tomorrow, while I participate in the 31Heroes WOD, I regret how much I drank tonight .  After that, who knows?
