xterratri - 2006-05-25 5:41 PM Umm, this is a multisport website after all. I'm going to be running whether it's part of the challenge or not just as I will be swimming. I'm willing to tack the 10 minutes on or not but since Oneword's being obnoxious about riding so far so I'm going to call him out. Hey Oneword- I match you 600 bike miles for the month of June and raise you 100 miles of running. Based on your logs though I'll do the 100+ miles running and you only have to do 70 to keep within the 10% increase injury limit. Oh, and I swim too but will be doing more OW training swims and that's harder to track so we can leave that out.
Sure... if you'll come and do my job at work and babysit my children so I've got time to do all that extra training...
I mean, isn't med school out for the summer? LOL
Let's see, I've got a tri I'm tapering for next Saturday, a cycling omnium the next weekend, a 5K after that... think I've got the multisport covered for this month. Its a cycling challenge, I've got to sit down and figure out how many miles I can realistically do without messing up my races and the cycle (ha, great pun) of my training schedule.
If I didn't have the races, well, young lady, I'd match you 800 miles - no sweat.
Excuses, excuses. No, as a matter of fact I am not out of school for the summer. I do have much of the month of June "off" because I'm taking Step 1 of the Boards June 28th. I then go on active duty doing an orthopedics rotation at Keller Army Hospital at West Point
(USMA
) and then officially start 3rd year clinicals July 31st. I'm starting off w/ family practice probably at Fort Drum.
Racing- Mooseman HIM June 4th and the West Kennebunk Fire Company Oly June 18th. Plus I'm doing a 5K w/ another med student/Army officer that is going to be her first ever race on June 24th. I'm going to run
(9.5 miles
) either to it or back from it though since I'm not running it hard.
