Fartlek: a funny Swedish term meaning 'speed play' that is a relaxed method of interval training.
AG: Age Group
Hardware: award for placing in your AG
(medal, trophy, maple syrup, etc.
)
OA: Over-All, as in overall placement in the race.
T1: swim to bike transition.
T2: bike to run transition.
T3: run to beer tent transition.
Du: short for duathlon.
Aquabike: new format where you just swim then bike.
Race packet: the packet you get that has your number, swim cap, chip, etc.
Goodie bag: the bag of free stuff, coupons, ads, etc. you get when you pick up your race packet.
