Fitness Syncer shows that the activity synced this morning at 6:21 AM, so it appears that the "Walking" activity type imports with the import date/time, not the activity date/time. That's really odd! Both my Zwift rides (recorded by Zwift) and my runs (recorded by Garmin) are listing the correct start times. I really couldn't say about the times of my yoga and strength workouts since the Sport activity type does not seem to support /display the activity start time. Did your walk import the elapsed time or the moving time (or was this a signal light free walk where they were the same)? This was a non-stop walk, so no difference in moving vs elapsed times. I think my issue is on the Fitness Syncer side. It really just seems to synchronize once a day in the morning. Hopefully I get a ride in tonight, so we'll see. |

I'm continuing to see a problem with duplicate runs being posted. |

I'm continuing to see a problem with duplicate runs being posted. I can't get activities to auto upload with any consistency at all. It shows that it synced from Strava to FS, but it hasn't synced to BT. Or a different one showed that both syncs happened and nothing shows on BT. And we do have the syncing to the wrong day thing. I can't get any consistency out of FS at all. Also, tech support hasn't gotten back in touch with me from them. I think my next few activities will be untouched by me in any way, just to test the timing of it all. My early analysis would be that we are not yet ready for Prime Time. |

Just a reminder - if you have duplicates or wrong categorization, please LEAVE THEM MESSED UP because when our programmer and the Fitness Syncer people go to figure out what is wrong, they can't find out which workout is messed up if you've already fixed it. |

I will leave them messed up until I hear from you. Please remember that this is my training log, not some test log. Accuracy does matter to me. I am waiting to hear back about my January 29th duplicate as well as this February 3rd swim. |

I swim again tomorrow (Feb 5) and we can give the swim import another try then. |

On Feb 2, she does not have a swim in our system; I only see one on Feb 3rd which is in your system # 1617613. I do not see an duplicates coming in from your end in our Stream on this day; do you have the id? For the 29th, I do not see a record, but I do see the duplicate on your end. I think this may have been right around when I last did a change for adjusting duplicates, so that was likely before that change went through. |

That part is correct. The problem is that the swim did not come into BT as a SWIM, it came in under SPORT and also it brought in elapsed time whereas if I imported it with Garmin or by manually uploading the FIT file, it would have used moving time. Please let me know when it's OK to remove these erroneous entries from BT so that I can manually import the FIT files to the correct activity type. Thank you, |

Master 2210 Columbus, Ohio Coaching member | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! OK, you can go ahead and correct them if there's no disagreement about duplicates. The swim being miscategorized is something all of the developers can understand without going in and verifying it. Anyone could do a sample swim and upload the file to get the same result to test it, so we don't need you to leave it like that. Thanks. |

I heard back from FitnessSyncer and Eric said that he does not need for me to keep the duplicate so I'm going to go ahead and remove the duplicate run. My swim this morning still came into BT as "sport" rather than swim. Do you need for me to keep it that way or can I change I manually import the FIT file? |

Master 2210 Columbus, Ohio Coaching member | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! You can go ahead and change it to a swim because that's not a mystery error we need to track down. It's just not mapping to the correct endpoint at BT. Our programmer and theirs know how it's supposed to work. They just have to map the data to right column at Fitness Syncer. |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Today's Gravel Talk involves questions about gearing. I'm sure that the gearing selection for gravel bikes is different than road bikes (and yes, I am aware there are gravel groupsets). I'm just wondering if I can get away with my road or Cx gearing as I give gravel a while Cx gearing - 46/36t up front and 11-32t in the back Road gearing - 50/34 up front and 11-28 (I think) in the back. I'll be honest, I really don't understand gear ratios. I just know that the higher the 28 or 32 in the back are the granny gears and that changing to the compact crank on my road bike made me happier. I'm also thinking about how this will affect my bike purchase. Yes, I am still planning to buy a new road bike. I guess my thoughts at the moment is that I could get a Specialized Roubaix or Trek Domane that will accept larger tires (the Domane goes as large as 38mm) and then, if I get more into gravel, get an gravel wheelset. Anyway, if the gearing totally doesn't work between the the two disciplines, that's idea is off the table. P.S. Bike purchase on hold until I resolve my current leg issue. |

Originally posted by cdban66 I noticed that the incoming activities no longer affect calorie count, as opposed to how it worked last week. Just an observation. Getting the data in is pretty nice. Getting it in correctly is a whole other story. This ride showed my elapsed time in Strava as my moving time in BT. My calories burned must be calculated using that elapsed time in BT as well, because the 200+ calorie difference seems a bit odd. I would understand a bit of a difference, due to different starting weight numbers and activity levels between the two systems. But a nearly 300 calorie difference is not good. The Strava ride is linked in my log, if you want to see the source info. |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Good news! My swim this morning came is the swim activity type My strength workouts have been coming is as the strength activity type (rather than as sport > strength) My virtual rides from The Sufferfest have been coming in the same way that virtual rides from Zwift import. All of this is with the following configuration: Garmin > FitnessSyncer > BT My next test will be changing to a Strava > FitnessSyncer > BT configuraiton. |
