way behind pace I'm afraid but not to worry - I've decided to decamp to warmer climates at the end of next week in order to complete the challenge...

..ok so I'm going on holiday but nothing like sun and sand for a bit of swimming practice.

Got another 1050m in this morning.  Puts me at 3350m = 3663 yards.  I'm at 28% of total now.

This challenge is great.  Every workout I put in a few extra laps that I wouldn't normally.  Thanks for the motivation and keep swimming!

Good work everyone!  I'll be swimming at lunch, so I should be good for another 800-1000 today.

P.S.  why did we pick our mascot as a curmudgeon?

I've got another 4700 in this week, bringing my total for the month up to 6000.  I should be right around 30% achievement.  Have a great weekend everyone.

Today's unplanned swim has put me at 41.2 percent of goal with only 29 percent of the month passed.

Someone decided to work on Flip Turns this month.  Guess what -- that's one of my focus points this month as well... They DO get easier!  I'm finally getting the hang of it.  Best part about the flip turns, is it's actually helping my breathing!  Go Figure!

We're kickin' tail now!   GO CURMEDGEONS!

Nice swimming!

I'm aiming to learn flip turns as well!! Took my first crack at it today. It was ugly, but a couple of them felt OK. Only tried two near the wall, the rest were in the middle of the lane.

I got in a nice extra swim today, 2400yds. Form-focus. Had a plan, stuck to it, it was great.

Keep it up!!

Great job everyone! I got in an extra swim today too. 2300 meters.

I have been thinking about learning flip turns. But I haven't worked up the courage to try yet. I used to do them as a kid (so I know how), but that was a long time ago!

WOW!!! We had some teammates really put forth a good effort this week. As of 8pm on Sunday 12-10, I have updated the spreadsheet and I was impressed by some of the efforts I saw this week.........mine not included. To those who put in the extra effort, great work!!! As for the rest of us, we need to work a little harder. We have half the people on pace this week but a couple are only a few yards shy so that's good. Let's get everyone on pace by next week and keep up the inspires!!! Take a look at the updated spreadsheet and let me know if something is wrong. I will turn it in sometime on Monday!!! Keep in mind if some one puts in extra yardage.......it does not help our team. Everyone has to accomplish there own goals!!! Go Curmudgeons!!!!

I don't want to get any smack talk on my log - so note that I have a total of 5,000 for Wed & Friday on my schedule...which appears to leave me a little shy of where I should be by week END...so I'll add some to be on target by the end of this week...

Promise!   Happy Swimming everyone!

I don't know how fast you swim, but an extra 2 minutes only gets me 100yds.

I got in a solid 2800yds today to take me to 56%. I have a long way to go - pool closes Dec 22, so that's 14,000 yards in 9 days --> 1550 yds per day!!

Time to get my swim on!!

We all need to use this week to get ahead, before holiday parties and other holiday distractions get in the way. LET'S GO!!!

Yes -- 2 minutes only adds 100 yards to my total on a single swim.. but do that with every swim ( in this case the persons is 2 times a week) and you've added the 200 yards!

Keep up the good work TEAM -- let's leave those crabs in our wake!

Just hit 50% of overall goal with today's swim!  (Okay it's only 49.9%)

Let's keep it up!  I was looking at the Canuck thread and they have at least one person at 100%
