Ironically, stairs are today's lesson in PT. Pretty bad-a$$ storm last night though, nickle sized hail, thousands of lightning strikes, and buckets of rain. Lots of flooding. We're kinda lucky that we're staying at my parents...the area where my husband and I live is very prone to flash flooding despite dredging the creek recently. (although we live in the 3rd floor and have checked our insurances for flood protection). And I had an epiphany re: jobs last night...I've done so much counseling on study abroad for various people...I'm going to apply for jobs in study abroad programmes and departments in universities and see what happens. Already found one at my graduate university  . Did Millvale get hit again? I saw Turtle Creek and Edgewood got hit pretty bad. Fortunately, doesn't look like it got it too bad according to our neighbors, but Gerty's is pretty swollen right now. If we get lots of rain today or tomorrow, things could get hairy. Hoping it won't be too bad. The window is just rattling in the frame. Later, they installed a vent fan that heats... cause the bathroom would get so cold in the winter... CAUSE THEY HAD A NEARLY OPEN WINDOW BEHIND THE WALL!!!! I marvel at the idiocy of whomever did many of the rennovation projects around here before... they are poorly conceived to start with and then half-@$$ed in execution. You should see the framing of the false wall over the windown. Mine will at least be well-concieved and 3/4-@$$ed. |
