When I get home should I do

yoga/strength training
pilates/something else
walk the pup on the hilly loop
mix and match any of the combinations here

Somebody chime in. I'll check back when I get to the house.

Drive safe Ann! And have fun with your to-do list. At least it's not full of stuff like "do dishes" and "fold laundry" and "make dinner" like some people that I know...

I have those things to do, too. They are just waiting until after the workout.

OK, home from work.  It's dreary and rainy and what I really want to do is pour myself a glass of wine, put on the jams and go to bed early. I was up at 0'dark-thirty to run this morning.  BUT, I have swim stroke clinic tonight so have to hold it together for another hour before heading to the Y.  I have no plans to do dishes, fold laundry or make dinner (unless nuking something out of the freezer counts).

Hope everyone has a nice evening.  Only 2 days left until the weekend!

A glass of wine and warm jammies sounds good right now. I'm waiting to do yoga because my daughter wants to do it with me but she is really being a slow poke with doing her homework. I am running out of patience.

Totally understandable, but very cool that she is interested in doing it with you!

She loves doing it, I want to get a few of the DVD's that are aimed towards kids and families.

We have a great family yoga at the Y..I have even been blessed to sub for the class! It is wonderful to watch children get excited about being healthy!

They have a class like that at our Y, too, but the scheduling didn't fit for us over the winter. She LOVES to dance, do gymnastics, cheerleading, yoga, move in general. She may be the next triathlete in the family. She is a fish in the water, and smiles the whole time she rides her bike or runs. She lead my son and I in an exercise class one afternoon. She is a tough instructor. We used the medicine balls, she had 4lbs, my son had 8lbs, I had 12lbs. My son and I were dying by the time she was done.

If she doesn't play soccer this fall I will find another class for her at the Y. She is doing handstands and cartwheels in the living room right now.

ironannekidd - 2010-05-12 2:18 PM I'm just curious as to when people stopped thinking for themselves. Does anyone know?

And

What do you think of guys wearing T-backs?

1) When their mommy and daddy started - I will tell you this we are doing evaluations and I put down for one guy that he knows a lot more than he realizes and he should trust his judgment but I really wanted to put - He would do a lot better if he used his brain to think of an answer instead of his mouth to ask questions!

2) I have no idea what you are talking about - is that good or bad???

T-backs = thongs or he-strings

What? You've got to be kidding me.  Such a thing shouldn't even exist

Hi Ghoulies. I had a Loooooonnnnnggggg day. Sitting in the mechanics waiting room while my car had open heart surgery. (timing belt, and valve cap) Then they poked a hole in the radiator and replaced it (no charge= just more time). I  was late to my afternoon meetings that went over time. Had to pick up suit case and drive to Raleigh. I just got in. At least the bar was open so I could catch up on ghoulie  mischief with a glass of wine.

Ann, you pick a place, I'll call. That last one looked great.

I was raised in Fla, mongs are worn my overwweight men with beer bellies. I have scars on my retinas. they are probably outlawed in Iowa, Neil. With your weather, that would be just too much to bear.

Ta ta. Tomorrow I teach. I'll try to check in in the evening.

Mwah!

Question for the group

Has anyone used or read about KT Tape? I'm thinking about trying it for my hamstring.

This is what Runners World has to say about it...

KT Tape, $12.99
You may have seen this tape all over beach volleyball player Keri Walsh during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. More athletes—including runners from short-distance roadies to ultramarathoners—are using it during training and racing. Unlike regular athletic tape, KT Tape is stretchy, allowing it to assist muscles to stretch while providing a flexible support. The strips are pre-cut for ease-of-use, and instructions on how to tape various injuries—from plantar fasciitis to a hamstring strain—are found on the product's website, allowing runners to tape themselves.

OUR TEST: Used on a low back injury, we found the tape incredibly comfortable while it provided relief. It also gave off a pleasant cooling sensation, said to be due to the stretchiness slightly raising the skin.

BONUS: The tape comes in multiple colors: black, blue, pink, red, green, and beige.

I've never used it, but most people I've talked to that have believe there is a positive benefit.

I figure it's like compression wear.  The benefit may be real or perceived, but there's no harm in trying it out.

The surgery did not have to be as invasive as they first worried and it finished 1 hour sooner than planned.  All good signs.  They meets with pathologist??? Monday for further diagnosis/planning.
Please keep them all in your prayers still - thanks

I know of several people that use it...Lauren Jensen being one of them.(pro) It works for her! When I was going through therapy for my shoulder they used it..it was one of those good hurts!
