We had a great weekend. Saturday we picked up the boy who is home from Panama for the holidays. We went to the annual caroling at the Clarke's farm. Yesterday we went to his girlfriends parents house for the afternoon, evening. We snacked, played games, made pizza, opened presents then got home about midnight! fun was had by all.  Today the hubbies brother is coming for his annual visit. It is awkward every time, due to the separation of the family home that happened about 6 years ago. (too long and too boring of a story to relate). I am working this morning, then when he gets here, I am going to do an "emergency trip to town'.

This ain't  my first family avoidance rodeo!

The rest of the holiday plans are going to be "by ear". Evidently the Girl has drama and may not have a ride home. This may mean the hubbie, or the hubbie and I or just I may be making a trip to Chattanooga to pick her up. Wow! 10 hours in the car on Christmas. Day. Fun..... NOT!!!

Yesterday I bought myself a daily calendar with Mensa 10 minute crossword puzzles.  I did Jan 1st since I won't be here that day and it took me an hour.  Guess I am not Mensa materials, LOL.

Lots of basketball today. Caleb can't practice yet, he has to see the trainer. He is only on the moderate activity today, if he passes that he'll move on to strenuous on Monday. I'm glad he won't be cleared to practice until Tuesday at the earliest. That gives him 2 full weeks of recovery time. He is doing much better now than he was, and he's bored, but this isn't something you rush.

Keri has practice, too. She went to watch the HS girls play in a tournament last night. I was asleep by the time they got home.

Keri is going to a pitching clinic today, too. It is on the other side of the town where I work. Her dad is going to take her, and catch for her the first session. I'm going to head over after work and catch the second session. It is being held by the University of Alabama pitching coach. Keri is going to wear her Tennessee stuff.

The library has been open for 40 minutes now, and I have only seen two people who are not staff or construction workers.  Crazy to have us open during this week.  Most universities and colleges shut their libraries down this week.  Just my luck to be with one that does not.  The positive side is that if I don't want vacation this week, I can save my time and take it when I want.  So, not really complaining...oh yes I am.
