Lyssa. 100 miles! I can only dream of 100 miles!!! Jeez! That is awesome girl!

I am in last place I see. I am hoping to make up for that though..I probably won't make 100% but I'll be pretty darn close.

I think I am in last...but doing two hours or so tomorrow (you in, Lynne?)...8 am.....

The kids will not let me be on the computer today, they are insane. Fridays are just the worst around here. Looking forward to the weekend. I am also depressed cuz I got on the scale and my weight hasn't budged despite eating pretty good and exercising so much. I am frustrated there. Oh well! Just keep me away from the jelly beans.

I am going to have to cycle around home. No car. Pants. I might bike to seward park it's 7 miles from home.....I checked. But I will NOT be cycling UP THE HILL!!! lol no siree.  But I will be off at 1st light.

I have it on good authority (blame Cat if this is wrong) but you don't have four days off this weekend. Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon. Well Fri & Mon off plus the wekend, even if you call Sat & Sun the weekend. Never mind, what I wanted to ask was do you celebrate Easter with Chocolate eggs? Find it strange that with all the sweet tooths out there none of you have mentioned it.

Yeah, normally you'd find a lot of easter chocolate goodies in my house at this time of year, but right now, doctor orders, I have to lose weight to get off of these stupid meds. So...no chocolate or otherwise for easter this year but I will be celebrating with a 2 hour bicycle ride. What could be better?

Hey all....its real hard keeping up with all the messages here, but always fun to check in...so I rode 30 min yesterday and an hour this morning. Puts me to 70%. Will def. make the 100% mark, dont know about past that....

So yesterday, kids (9 and 11) were off school and came to office with me. We then went to health club for a swim. Kids have been on a competitive swim team for 4 seasons now. The kids cooked up what I though was a brutal workout, with kick sets, pull sets, IMs, sprints....1000+ (I stopped counting yds at 1k) yds of sheer pain for me. For them, they said "oh this is a light workout..."

kids today, I tell ya...

Happy Easter everyone.....

We were supposed to have a light sprinkling of snow on the ground this morning so I had arranged to take 6-pack (all skin & bones), my 11 YO out for a ride. No snow but brilliant sunshine and gales. Tried to keep off the roads as much as possible. Started off down the old railway line,

the bridge was taken away many years ago.

Then down the canal footpath to Lock No. 57. Who's the 'girly' all wrapped up!

And one to make Scot... homesick. A Narrowboat from Scotland, in Scottish blue & white. Don't see many that colour.

I can't log that ride down, not when I could have run it quicker. 7.8 miles in 90 mins. The poor little darling, really stuggled into the wind. So did 6 pack!

Proper snow is forecast overnight, let's see.

Those 90 minutes would get you to your goal!

Everyone, please make sure you update the speadsheet to include your week 3 totals. If you're having trouble with the spreadsheet let me know that you need help.

Wow, nice photos!  I rode 30 miles today!!  It was sunny and clear and COLD - 29 degrees when we started out.  I didn't take pix but am soon returning to the same area where I rode to watch model airplanes with the kids, so I will photograph the general vicinity.  I really need to ride more often, as the friends I rode with had to wait for me a bit and they kicked my butt. I needed it, though.

Can someone post the dates for the challenge--are we still week 3? I am a dork, thanks.

do you ride near the big soccer complex in Kirkwood? kinda near the redhook brewery? cuz that is where I remember model airplanes and also where they have lots of hot air balloons take off and land....? just curious...because I used to go there every year in July for a big ultimate frisbee tournament....if it is...it is really pretty there with the trail that runs along that river....if not...go, you will like it!

I ride that trail a lot, but today we left from Marymoor Park in Redmond.  It's all pretty here, only one jerk driver out of many, and tons tons tons of bikers on the road.  We were sort of mixed in with a group from team in training.  One gal passed me saying "go team!" which was funny.

Yep all buttered up and layered in my winter clothes.  Toes still got cold but otherwise I was fine. Pretty sweaty by the end, as a matter of fact.  It was great.

I've got 30+ miles planned for tomorrow. I'm gonna try to complete the loop I tried to do last week. It's supposed to be sunny with temps in the high 30's to middle 40's and a light breeze. Not too bad for March.

30+ miles. Wow. I'm very impressed.  Most I've ever done is 40 on a long straight flat trail. lol

If I don't get the ride in tomorrow I will do double duty Friday and Saturday next week.

It's definitely not flat...about 1400 feet of climbing. It's typical of what I've been doing on weekends. After this challenge is over I'll cut back a bit on the weekend ride so that I can do a brick instead, in anticipation of my triathlon in 4 weeks. After that I need to gear up for a metric century charity ride in June.

Awesome day of tennis today. Frank played a 3 set match this morning. Then I played a 3 set match this afternoon. I won. Yahoo! I had never played with my partner before, but we made a great pair.

Oh, yeah, this isn't the tennis site, it's the I rode 35 minutes on the trainer today, so I've got 9 of my 14 hours done. Tomorrow we have our ride on the Silver Comet Trail and I will take the camera. We are planning on doing at least 2 hours, but who knows, if we really feel awesome maybe we will get more in. The more the better, cause that will only leave a few hours on the trainer for the rest of the week.

Have a great Easter everyone!

I'm there, I'm there! (Said the Bishop to the actress, again).

100% today. 25 miles in 1h 35.

You'll never guess what I saw on the journey home. There was this guy coming towards me in the distance. I thought, By heck lad you're sitting up high. The closer he got the taller he seemed & he was having a good look OVER the top of the hedgerows. He was on a unicycle. God knows what the size of the wheel was. I said , "Nice one" as I passed, then started to laugh. Unintentional pun.
