Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Another fan of Breaking Bad here. I watched all I could on Netflix as soon as I discovered it. I'm all caught up on Weeds too. Although I must admit Weeds was alot more fun and interesting during the first couple seasons, now they seem like they've lost the original storyline and purpose of the show. |

Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() First time in the pool in 3 weeks...not a good one. Reducing my 100 m interval times from 2:45 to 2:30, and I paid the price (amazing what 15 seconds extra rest can do for you). Looking into a swimming instructor as we speak, so hopefully I will feel more comfortable moving up to international/olympic distance in August/September as planned. - Andy: S 2 / B 2 / R 3 / Rest Days 0 ; Total = 7 ; 06:15'59" |

Veteran![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Quick run from the house. Took a different route into the woods still 350ft elevation change. Sleep deprived with only about an hour sleep so I didn't expect much. Hoping to get time on the drainer tonight. Scott and I have to officiate at a track meet this afternoon, and next week is the Mountain West Championships.

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Race tomorrow, a sprint. I did an easy 600 in the pool just to try swimming in my tri top, I think I'll make today one of my rest days. By the way, I'm glad I tried swimming in that top, I felt like there was a ton of drag produced by the material and the small pockets on the back so I won't be able to wear it in the pool, only under a wetsuit.

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Taking my rest day on Saturday so I'm putting it down now. Very psyched for my Retul fit tomorrow and conditions on Sunday look great for my 10 mile race. I will take a moment to gloat as a proud father as my 8 yr old daughter ran the fastest mile in her class at 7:44 today. Best part was she let all the boys go out fast and looked at me and said I like this pace. As the kids dropped one by one, she looked back with a great smile. With 200M left, she kicked it all the way home. Very cool. - Andy: S 2 / B 2 / R 3 / Rest Days 1 ; Total = 7 ; 06:15'59" Edited by JoePetto 2012-05-04 7:06 PM |

Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Gabe, aren't you doing too much on your taper? I was down to four mile runs at this time and more speedwork. It is MUCH easier to recover from hard short efforts than 13 mile runs... Also, your last long run should be this Saturday. Keep in mind that the taper is filling the tank without losing the fitness, not getting fitter at this point. |

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Joe, tell your daughter we girls are proud of her! Rode the mountain bike last night with no HR monitor, just for fun. 34 min included the protest ride from City Hall to the Capitol to promote cycling awareness after a 55 yr old cyclist was run over on the shoulder and killed by an 85 yr old man who was not ticketed. Me and 1000 others. Sprint race Sun, so day before is rest day. - Andy: S 2 / B 2 / R 3 / Rest Days 1 ; Total = 7 ; 06:15'59" |

Hey Ernesto, I'm supposed to go into taper on Sunday right after my semi-long bike ride tomorrow (4hrs + 40 min brick). I hear you on the importance of dropping volume and am ready for it after tomorrow! Tomorrow's ride should be good to work on my nutrition since I did not do great with my test of mixing carbo pro and cytomax in my bottles during my last couple of rides. Enjoy your hot ride tomorrow!
