Even when clots do form (rarely), people need to remember the basic circulatory pathway from science class: veins -> right atrium -> right ventricle -> lungs -> left atrium -> left ventricle -> oxygenated blood to the body. Your brain is the last place a venous blood clot from your leg is going to end up. Not to say the lungs are any safer, but man I hate misinformation like that. |
