Good morning Ghoulies!

After a crazy afternoon I had to go into work last night for a bit. I worked some long days earlier in the week, too. I am working from home today and I only have to put in 4 hours today. WOOT!

It is going to be a beautiful day. I need a bike helmet so I can go for a ride.

I am heading out early today. Just wanna get home. A friend from our extended family from the Highland Games passed away yesterday and I feel kicked in the stomach. He was a man that was full of life and happiness.

Hopefully I will get my azz out on a run today when I get home.

Ann, why don't you have a helmet?  Or do you just want a new one?

Robin, I was sorry to hear about your friend.  Thoughts and prayers to his family and you.  Have a safe drive home today.

On a happier note, I got a 2 mile walk in last night and the leg and hip did quite well.  It was a pretty slow walk, so I will now work on building up the walking speed, and hopefully might be able to get in some run walks.  Baby steps, one step at a time.  

Two weeks from now is the Atlanta Electric Run.  (or walk for some of us).  It will be FUN!

Ann, I'm home today, but not WFH.  It is my weekend to work again.  Gosh, every three weeks comes around awfully fast sometimes.  Anyway my day will consist of baking cookies, weeding yard, laundry, working on photography class and management class, and yes some reading too!  

Now to go shopping for what I need to make the cookies.  But first I need to decide on a recipe.  LOL

It was out in the garage and the dogs taste tested it.

Keri has the Race For Education today so I'll be heading into the school in a few minutes. I don't know if I'll get any laps in or not, the past few years they've been handing out jelly bracelets to the kids so they can keep count of how many laps they did. I told the organizer if she didn't have enough volunteers forthis that I could help. I'm also helping to pass out apples when the kiddos are done.

FRIDAY!!!!   My weekend will be busy though.  We will go to a car show tomorrow.  That is usually okay, but DH wants to stay for the whole show rather than just go, look, leave.  And he really wants me to go too.  So I have decided to go (and with a good attitude LOL).  Just have to not think about stuff that I could be doing at home.

It was fun! I did get to do 6 laps around the track. I helped with other stuff, so I didn't get to walk/run the whole time. Keri did 14 laps. WOOT! I talked to her learning support teacher, who runs half marathons. Her husband is doing an Odyssey race from Gettysburg to DC this weekend. They are dressed up as super heroes. She is going to send me pictures. I told her I'd like to do one sometime, she said she'd let me know when next year's race is.

Have fun at the car show! I feel your pain, but housework and chores can wait, it's good to spend time out with the hubby.

Amazing what dogs will eat.  I swear they are related to goats.

It is a wonderful Saturday morning.  The forcast is rain, rain for the next week basically.  Hmm, I must be on the pacific northwest rim. A great day to be at the library.

Ann, I'll have to look up what an Odyssey race is.  I've never heard of it.

It is one of those races you do as a team and sleep in a van when you're not running. You take turns running, like a relay.

Busy day yesterday.

Caleb had a soccer game 45 minutes away. His team won 4-0. WOOT!

Keri had a softball scrimmage against the 12U team. Both teams scored a lot of runs. Keri did OK as catching, not great, but ok. I think she was a bit hesitant because of her arm. She led off the batting order twice, walked both times, stole 2nd, and 3rd, then scored both times. Then the last 2 innings he reversed the batting order so the girls at the bottom of the order could steal/run/score. Keri batted last then, she walked the first time, and got a hit the last, but that was the end of the batting. She pitched 1 inning, she did not look good at all. She couldn't find the plate to save her life.   We will keep working at it, she'll get it. The coach we had lined up, but had to push back because of her broken arm doesn't have time now to help her, I am going to find another coach for her.

How was your weekend?

Morning Ghoulies.

It was an okay weekend, Ann. Friday I got home and went straight to the sushi place with 6 of my friends. Two others randomly showed up. We the migrated over to the micro brewery for some good people watching and music. Saturday was cold and damp. I volunteered at the local 5K for 5-6 hours. It was fun, but I was so cold, it sapped all my energy. I went for a mani-pedi to recover . Jim went the the Merl Watson Music festival for the day and night. Yesterday was a wash, both literally and figuratively. It rained so much our electronic rain gauge was overloaded. If I don't get some sunshine soon, my internal photocells are going to go dead and I will just be an irritable lump on the ground unable to move.

I saw Dock Night was moved, so I'm guessing today is wet. What does the weather for the rest of the week look like?

People watching is almost always amusing.

Moslty cloudy and rain all week. I am leaving for Wilmington for a couple of days. It is supposed to rain there, too. At least I will be on the beach in the rain.
