Hi Erica!  What'd you end up having for dinner?

I was good.  Taco salad.  I really wanted that pizza though.  Maybe this weekend.  We are headed up to Maine on Saturday for a day trip.  We used to live there 8 years ago and haven't been back since.  So, we are gonna drive on up.  I think we'll have to hit up our old favorite pizza place for a pie and brew!

I think so.  I ran nearly 15 miles tonight so I'm not exactly tapering for it

Hey guys. I ran. It was hot (heat index of 100, actual temp mid-90s) and relatively miserable since it followed a 57 mile ride. But I got to see the IMWI course so it was worth it. I only have 9 miles to go for goal and should make it, although Saturday's brick run was shortened from 7 to 5 since my ride was increased to 120 (gulp). So I may be a couple short

toddg - 2009-06-24 12:27 PM And I got my first stopped & clipped in tip-over completed on the bike. Almost made it a year (Jul 1st) before getting that done in this bike.

It was the first day I've taken our son onto a real public road (we just bike the gated neighborhood normally). Guys were fixing the road/sidewalk intersection so we had to swing wide around them. I was having him then get back toward the sidewalk as there is really no shoulder on this road. He got too close and ran into the curb and stopped. I stopped as well for him to get onto the sidewalk and for whatever stange reason unclipped the right foot (which I never do). Turned the bars right and over I went right into the middle of the road.  Oh well. That's accomplished now.

Welcome to the club!  Don't know anyone who hasn't done that.

I joined the club back in 1987 on my first bike with clipless pedals.  This was just an update to get it done on the current bike. At least I managed to get myself under the bike so it didn't get scratched up.

I haven't fall yet this summer ...

toddg - 2009-06-24 1:28 PM Also just had my first pair of Vibram five finger shoes delivered today. Gonna be interesting to see how they work out. Read the other various threads here and decided I had to try them.
Ooooo! Let us know how you like them! I just wish they didn't look so... goofy. LOL Also, my 2nd toe is longer than my big toe. Some people have said that's an issue, since the VFF's aren't set up that way....

I think the goofy factor is what's holding me back.  I'm goofy looking enough without shoes with toes

Come on, VFF with your spandex kit
