Morning Nibbs! (or almost afternoon I guess)

I overslept this morning from taking Nyquil and now I'm trying to juggle lots of stuff at work.  Fun fun.  Nothing like walking in late when your boss is sitting there.  At least I look sick and have almost lost my voice, so it's hard to be too mad.

zipp1 - 2008-01-28 12:24 PM I'm gonna pay dearly for today's run...my longest ever.  Could feel my back getting tight around mile 8, so then the knees and ankles joined the whining until I stopped at mile 10. Yes, Sal, that puts me at 128% over my goal and the last 8% won't be counted but I can't let the guys be the only ones past goal on our team this month   It still felt pretty good though and now I know if I can pull out a 10 miler that the half mary will be do-able

Hell, if you can pull out a 10-miler ... a mary is do-able. But for now, you'll kick azz at the half-mary!

The half mary is in April, I'm planning on a full mary this November (remember the Richmond marathon I'm trying to get you to come out here for??)

Congrats!  A half is definitely do able at this point.

Yes, Judi, you will be in great form for Richmond!

Unfortunately, I'm probaby going to give a late fall marathon a pass this year, as my schedule is full of HIMs through October, and I'm doing a May marathon. I just get so worn down and depressed, always, at that Nov/Dec juncture that to throw the stress of a mary on top of it seems to do me in badly.

But ... miracles happen. We'll see.

(He's a bit unhinged about the training run lengths, but I figure he'll be watching college football on Saturdays anyway. ) And did I mention that Sugar Daddy has decided that I should run a 25K in May. OK, it's kind of an excuse for a boondoggle to visit his folks, but I'm thrilled! (I also told him it's a wee step to go from 25K to 26 miles. SSHHHHHH! Don't tell him otherwise!)

 Richmond is going to have a half this year.  You could do that and get to meet all of us cool Richmond-based ladies.
