My body and I are failing to find the humor with 70 degree weather and no bike riding Ann (j/k)

x2

It was 70 degrees here yesterday and I spent an hour and a half jogging in the pool.Yell

Kim - how do you do it that long (oh boy here they go).  I get bored at 30 minutes (running, not the other activity people - get your minds out of the gutter ok? )

Also - you move around in the pool right?  You are not stationary are you (stationary not missionary - I cannot believe I have to confirm all this stuff guys Tongue out )

Staying power....what else can I say?  And, yes I move around.  Back and forth. Over and over. It can be boring, but sometimes there are some characters that are entertaining to watch.  This morning, the guy in the lane next to me blew up water wings and put them on his ankles.  And he added a pull buoy just in case he didn't have enough flotation with the wings.  I thought the lifeguard was going to fall off his perch he was laughing so hard.

this is tooooo funny!

Stacie, when you figure this one out let me know! Just had Liam's room done last week, went to wake him this AM and couldn't get his door opened! He was mad at me last night and dumped everything from his bins and drawers! Gave him the ultimatum of clean it tonight or I will take everything on Tuesday!

mndymond - 2009-11-09 1:11 PM Hey Ghoulies!!! Sorry I've been MIA!! Ahh school...but I have 5 days off now! YAY!

I did a session on the distaininator yesterday while thinking "man it would be so much better just to run" for the entire session...wow, what a change from even a year ago when I would have prefered that machine over any run, any time, any day! Haha.

I also did a 10.46km in 58min on Sat! WOoooooo!

That's great, Melissa!!   And ENJOY your time off!

I'm sure you would do it much better a second time around. You don't have to go up to the chalkboard at work do you?

Nope - just moving around in the chair and readjusting - LOL

I just wanted to make sure we were moving in the water!

I love when the whole zero entry portion and shallow end is empty and people still feel the need to play in my little 10x10 deep end area that I have to circle around - people get out of here I am dangerous because I need to exercise more than this dumb circle running in a pool!

I am going to keep my glasses on from now on just to be able to laugh!

OTH sometimes you are better keeping them off.  Yesterday a guy in white/cream colored board shorts was a couple lanes over.  Didn't really matter while he was swimming, but i feel sorry for anyone that saw him walking back to the locker room.

Now why don't the ladies do that for us Cool

If it is a female version of what I saw, you would run in horror!

I meant the tri-hotties

There was an elliptical lady who had no underwear on the other day that was fun (and she was nice looking to boot!) plus tight pants!

AND YOU'RE GIVING ME A HARD TIME ABOUT HAVING TO REARRANGE IN YOUR CHAIR???!!!???!!!

its good to remember.

but 'painful' in a way too.

i remember me then.

i hope (in some ways) i never ever forget.

but then, on the other hand, that person is total stranger to me.

and my life NOW is so far removed from who i was before.

the truth of who i am now is so different.

man oh pete was the Y PACKED today.

and it seems like everyone does their ST on Mondays.  the mats were full, the machines were full, the free weights were taken.

whatever.

did what i needed to do.

30 mins of ST thank you very much.  session #2 in the books.  at least 1 if not 2 more session on tap for this week....

and then a nice, easy 3 mile run and 10 mins of stretching.

i vowed after feeling how tight everything got, that i would make it more conistent effort to stretch after every workout.

i used to be really, really good about stretching then got out of the habit...and man, i sure felt it at the end of the season - all the accumulated tightness.

never again.

stretching is on my MUST DO list.

stacieb

Monday's are always bad at our Y because they are feeling guilty after the weekend I guess.  It seems to get slower each day of the week until New Years - then I return to my 5:30am workouts because only the foolish work out at that time of the day
We don't even HAVE a Y here. But the county rec centers are the same way. And as someone else was saying (Ann, I think...), you can tell when the 9-5'ers are on their way to work, and the SAHM/D's aren't done with their morning rounds yet. Unfortunately, with the economy slowdown the pools don't open until later now (no more 530 AM swims). And they're completely closed on Sundays. Grrr.

Good evening Ghoulies! I had a busy day taking care of family doctor appointments and Boy Scouts and such, so I bumped my ST workout to tomorrow. It'll be a busy day at work, but I should be able to sneak out in the morning before my first appointment. Anyone else happy that Monday's over???

Morning team.
LOTS to catch up on. BILL where is our summary???? Do you think that you are off the hook? (the answer is NO)
I am trying to limit my computer stuff when I am off work so I won't kill too much time. So, no I am NOT glad that monday is over... I had a 4 day weekend. Party is over now, back to the grindstone. So, let's see what I missed.
Creepy guy with no clue on exercise- good job avoiding this creep.
Stacy has speedy friends and she is a role-model and has transformed herself so her true queenliness shows on the outside too. (Us Goulies could have told everyone about that).
There was lots of yard work and winter prep this weekend (I hit the yard pretty hard too) and there was some professional football watching going on and some wistful workers looking out at the pretty weather. Oh ya and talk of bootay and skeet and uncomfortable chairs....

So, I'll start.  I had some yummy portobello and provolone ravioli last night for dinner.  The best part was I drizzled olive oil on top that came from a friend in Italy.  His very own olives that he harvested and pressed himself.  Yum.
