All I had was a French press and it died in a pet-related incident ... at least a pet didn't die in a French-press related incident ... but I was pretty mad. That's all I have too. My very favorite! But alas, two of mine have died via pet related incident as well! Our cats aren't supposed to be on the counter (yeah right). It would be tough for them to hurt the Keurig but if they did they'd be eating straw until I saved enough to get a new one. |

Cash Cow right there folks I think my Sgt. went about three times today.
Got a run in today, have been lacking in training partly because I picked up some OT for much needed bacon funds (By the way I love UK bacon as well as American bacon actually there isn't much on the pig I don't like), and the required afternoon monsoons this time of the year. Pickled pigs' feet? You are in the South after all! |

She started out waaaaayyy too fast and then crashed and burnt. She had a mini meltdown but we had a heart to heart (me telling her to HTFU...yes really. Of course this was after I had encouraged her for 20 minutes prior) and she finished strong. She took 3rd place in her AG and is talking about the next one!  |

I'm still kind of stressing about the school thing--it comes down to me being able to pay about $6700 in the next 2 semesters--which I can't. My credit REALLY sucks right now, thanks to some past credit issues, so that idea is kind of out. A friend suggested that I try a Facebook/Paypal deal, asking people to donate money for my 'cause'--and a coworker seconded the idea, thinking it could work. What does the pod think? I mean, at worst, no one donates, and I am still beholden to the mercy of the school--at best, some wonderful people pay for the last 2 semesters. No matter what, I'll still be talking to the FA folks on Thursday and filing the appeal, but I'm a little obsessive, and like to have multiple avenues of planning. Thoughts? |

I wouldn't maybe post until after the appeal, but starting to think outside the box in the meantime is not a bad idea! I'm sorry, I can't recall what you are in school for, Kate, but could you include in the donation request that once you are done school you will 'payback' what is given? And by that I mean give an equivalent amount of money (after all loans paid off) or time to a charity in your field? I'll be thinking good thoughts for your appeal! |
