Needless to say, after I left, I was in full Kate-Hulk mode....what a way to go out and vote! Then I went to Taco Bell and ate a huge meal in ultra-gluttonous fashion....still kinda peeved, but my tummy is full (probably will be until tomorrow morning!). Too bad I never received my insurance card last year....I guess there will be no blood tests for me. grrr Kate smash. Grrr is right. I would have been gnawing on someone's arm while they were looking over all the records. I gnaw on people's arms when I'm only mildly hungry. Ask anyone who's sat next to me while waiting for food. Noted. If we ever meet in person, I will put someone between us.
That way there is an arm for each of us... Ooooooh remind me not to sit between you two when we eat Meh, you are too slender to provide any sustenance. I almost protested but thought better of it. |

Master 3888 Overland Park, KS | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Right Foot (Heel is still sore, but much better than two days ago). Swam last night, not sure I can run tonight but I think I will go to spin class, then try to run a few miles. Been stretching/icing based on typical PF treatments go but will know more tomorrow. I got a good recommendation from one of my friends to see this really good phys. therapist that's also an endurance athlete. I made an appointment for Friday, assuming that my gen pract. doc. writes me the referral tomorrow. Good thing it's taper time anyhow, If I'm cleared to run, just hope not to lose too much fitness etc. But on the flip side I might be in for a painful race should I run. Cortizone shot? Another of my friends gave me this thing you put on your foot while you sleep so it isn't as sore in the morning. Seemed to work O.K. I'm thinking of doing Jorge's winter cycling program, anybody here done that one? Sounds like some good 1 hour sufferfests. I'm in my new job now (Senior Pump System Technical Trainer), sort of, but I have to write up/conduct 9 performance reviews in the next 2 weeks for the position I'm leaving. New manager was one of my guys so my career development tactics are working quite nicely. |

New manager was one of my guys so my career development tactics are working quite nicely. I read a really good article with lots of science backing it up about losing fitness. It sounds like you really don't lose a whole heck of a lot in the first 7 days. Plus the fact you are swimming probably doesn't hurt. (So sorry, I don't know where I placed the link ...) I just hope it heels up before the race (heh heh, sorry I had to do that) And forkin' great work, boss man! |

Seattle | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED I just got my Boston confirmation in the mail. As in, with a stamp and envelope and all that old school jazz. It's funny I got a confirmation once I registered and then a confirmation that they got my confirmation. Then I got confirmed as a Boston Marathon entrant where they promptly took my money (and sent confirmation.) Now this. I feel very, ... confirmed. |

I got the free one and am still looking at getting the program. $19 a month and so far superb value for money - well breakfast with the great man was worth every cent! haha! It's a bit like this site, real friendly bunch of people. I now have no time to work - BT, MX12 and training, time done! Make sure to try the bonus session windtrainer - OVERS AND UNDERS- absolute torture where 40 seconds feels like an eternity. Best bang for your buck. Edited by jobaxas 2012-11-07 8:27 PM |

Seattle | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED Add myself to the injury list: I cut the tip of my finger off with a champagne bottle
Also, I was extremely sleep deprived so I put myself in a little slower group last night at practice. We did a flow workout. 3 miles at LT (although it wasn't quite LT for me) with a faster final mile. I was leading a group (it's so funny that this happens because I am the ONLY one without a watch)but everyone but two people dropped off so it was just me and this other guy who did the workout together. We did: Mile 1: 7:05 Mile 2: 7:05 Mile 3: 7:05 Mile 4: 6:40 He was wearing a headlamp (on the track ...) and was running behind me so it was casting a really awkward shadow of me on the track (as we don't have lights on at practice.) |
