Now in the full throws of lunch induced coma. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I can sing something really high to keep you awake So you will get this. The wife and I met in Choir in College. So we have done our fair share of singing at wedding, right? Anyway, this one person, a Sorority sister of the wife, wanted us to sing "All I Ask of You" from Phantom. One problem. I was (at the time) a Bari-Bass and she was a full blown Alto. Guess what happened. I got to take the high note. Yep. I hit it. Barely. Talk about a stretch. Woof. Over time, interestingly enough, I've become more of a Bari-tenor. I think that might have been when I figured out how to use my upper range. HAHA! Ew. Phantom is so overdone... Yeah. Tell me about it. We've done some of the most typical wedding songs. The Rose - I friggen hate that song Longer Than - she had to do it acapella. I couldn't look at her for fear of making her bust out laughing. All I ask of you - Like I said above Amazing Grace - WTF? Seriously? Ok. Haven't had to sing at a wedding in a very, VERY long time. Thank goodness. |
