Rynamite - 2008-07-17 3:04 PM Emergency meeting with the 'big dogs'....this might get GOOD!
We're gonna need details, so take good notes.

Heh, one of the owners sent an email to the other owners, our shop foreman, and myself. The subject was "Meeting" and the body was "Please be in my office at 1530 hours."

He's pizzed, I'm pizzed, I can't wait.

Dood, are you still gonna have a job when the meeting is over?

Yeah, I kinda meant work-wise. The housing downturn has been quite noticeable here.

Otherwise, it's moving along at a decent clip.

Yeah, same here, actually. I work for an architectural firm, and it's been pretty dead.

So you will get this.

The wife and I met in Choir in College.  So we have done our fair share of singing at wedding, right?  Anyway, this one person, a Sorority sister of the wife, wanted us to sing "All I Ask of You" from Phantom.

One problem.  I was (at the time) a Bari-Bass and she was a full blown Alto.  Guess what happened.  I got to take the high note.  Yep.  I hit it.  Barely.  Talk about a stretch.  Woof.  Over time, interestingly enough, I've become more of a Bari-tenor.  I think that might have been when I figured out how to use my upper range.

Haha, funny. No, I was referencing a response he made to what I just posted in the BT girls thread.

Yeah.  Tell me about it.

We've done some of the most typical wedding songs.

The Rose - I friggen hate that song

Longer Than - she had to do it acapella.  I couldn't look at her for fear of making her bust out laughing.

All I ask of you - Like I said above

Amazing Grace - WTF?  Seriously?  Ok.

Haven't had to sing at a wedding in a very, VERY long time.  Thank goodness.
