Pitt's experience reinforces my desire to get a GoPro camera for the bike.  I have a gift card for 20 years at the lab.  The value is close to the price of the camera.  It is about to expire if I don't use it.

In reality, I have had very few problems with distracted, inconsiderate, or aggressive drivers.  My desire is mainly based on other people's bad experiences.  Would I be tempting fate to mount a camera?  Would you go with helmet or handlebar mount if you had one?

Better to at least get the GoPro, rather than see the certificate expire.  Personally, I would go with the handlebar mount.  But, I think that is just a personal preference.

Yeah.  Plus, I can take it to the pool and make some video to send to Elaine.  She will coach me into dropping at least 30 sec per 100 on my swim.  I am building a case in my mind here.  I'm thinking this one's a go.

OK, question.  Why do people feel like they HAVE to argue on the internet...  Why not just say "hey, that's a touching or good intention thread" and if you disagree, just let it go?

It would be like posting a feel good story about rescuing a dog from a frozen lake, and someone chiming in and say that there is a over population of dogs and was it really for the best that it was saved?

I mean, really?

Establishing dominance?  Same as a dog marking territory?

I have a rule never to post twice to a thread.  I try to get my contribution in the first post then leave it.  Unfortunately, I also break this rule pretty often but I think it's still a good rule to try for.

Hi TAN!

I overheard a substantially overweight woman having a conversation on the phone today.  Her side of the conversation: "the doc told me to lose weight so I'm gonna take up smoking cuz I heard it's an appetite suppressant and cuz that whole exercise thing is just so HARD"

Um... wow.

I like the quote that is going around these days.  It goes something like, "I'm not saying let's kill all the stupid people.  I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let Darwin sort it out."

Rescued?  But if an inglish bulldog fell in a lake, it would sink like a stong.  I needs SOME swimming ability for the story to work.

I've actually heard a similar opinion from my brother.  He didn't like the weight he gained when he stopped smoking, so he started again.  I call it the cancer diet.
