Lots of first time buyers look at the Desert Eagle 0.50 in the movies and think "that's the gun I want".

I looked into ammo for that.  If you don't mine throwing $2.00 a round down range every time you pull the trigger, go for it.  That's an expensive hobby.  20 rounds is as much as a round of golf.

But they do make the DE in a .357.  That is the one I have always wanted.

Yeah, I would do that.  I shot the .44.  Didn't like it.  I mean it was cool and all, but not something I would do all the time.

I'm a wimp, but .45 is as about as big as I like to go.  The .44 was too loud, violent, and my hand was tingly/numb after jsut a couple rounds.  I needed to put it down and rest for a second.

I looked down the bore of a 0.50 and had to laugh.  It looks like a cannon/morter it's so big.  But it would be intimidating to look at that pointed at you.

Heh heh A .357 with a 2" barrell looks intimidating when pointed at you.  Just ask a friend of mine who woke me up in the wrong way at the wrong time.

Haha that's hilarious. You should've shot him! That would've made the story even more awesome.

I try really hard not to shoot people unless they really need/deserve it.

How many people have you shot?

That is between me and the desert coyotes.

That sucks. I have had some epic failures as of late that make me want to switch to frozen dinners.

Yeah... luckily I dismantled the smoke alarm BEFORE it went off this time.  And nothing caught on fire, so that could be considered a success?

I wonder if they could use the .45?  The real manstopper.  It's such a slow round, I don't think there is much concern for over penetration either.  Hmmm,  I should ask my cop friends.

Actually a .45 leaves a small hole in front and a huge hole on the exit.  It's a mess.

It was developed to stop Filipino guerillas hopped-up on Opium during the Spanish-American war.

The 9mm ball round that idiot used in Tucson was a blessing in disguise.  That round goes through pretty clean.  And it doesn't break often until it hits something firm.  Without that, Gabby Giffords would have died.

I know!!!  When living on my own, I didn't ever have them hooked up except for when I knew the annual inspection was happening.  I also ate out that day just to be on the safe side.

That seems a tad extreme when I can just take the battery out.  And it wouldn't be all that hard in terms of target practice.

I can cook it just looks like a bomb went off in there when I am done.

Yet I struggle with making an omelet. I can pull off complicated dishes. Simple ones I screw up the most.

Yep I have 2/3rds of a towel and I am keeping it around... Good conversation  piece.

I learned the hard way and the timer is now my friend.  Too many times I forget something and burn it up.

I put some eggs on 6 months ago to get them hard boiled.  40 minutes later, I was wondering what that odd sound was in the kitchen...  Oh yeah, dried up burning eggs.
