I was praying for you t'other day during my IMNZ-simulation trainer ride. You were one of the people who popped up for, funnily enough, C ... since I never think of you as Chad and I don't think I've ever called you that. Thanks.... Skrat, Chad, Dude, Homey, Buddy, a-hole, jerk, sh*t head.... I've been called a lot of things, but I have to admit, "Skrat" (you are the only one who calls me that) is one of my favorites. I'm not sure that I know what you mean when you say "You were one of the people who popped up for, funnily enough, C"... as I don't have a simulator, can you elaborate a bit? Oh for goodness sake Skrat, "popped up" should be all the information you need here. Salty - stop being awesome...I think I'm developing a crush on you. |

I did a one hour ride tonight and no numb toes and only very slight burning in the balls of my feet which was alleviated by moving my feet around a bit. Good luck to everyone racing tomorrow I hope that you have a great race and enjoy all those lovely rewards that you have been telling us all about.HAVE FUN!!! Edited by StaceyK 2013-02-16 6:39 AM |

I have one taker at this point going on the list. If you would like your name on it, please let me know. I never pass up the opportunity for someone to think aboutor pray for me - I need all the help I cna get! I will also be thinking of you and your aunt on my Sunday bike and run.Thank you very much! |

I'll have a list of friends/family members, especially the ones affected by cancer, for whom I will be praying (or their loved ones if they lost the battle) Thank you!!!! |

And are you having a blast getting away from it all? I remember ripping my whole big toenail off on the ragged edge of a chair leg in the thick of swim season ... hurt like the dickens but what I was most impressed by was how much it bled. I think I made some halfhearted attempt to patch it up with waterproof medical tape to swim, but I was in the water 4+ hours a day at that point and nothing would stick to the damp skin. |

CLOSED MadMathemagician - 2013-02-16 10:49 AM I must say that not only do I do better in cold weather but I strive when the weather is in the 40s. Refereed two high school varsity soccer games and I'm not even tired. Tri training pays off in spades. Two more games scheduled for tomorrow. Soreness by running in a different style may be the only limiting factor. One runs for the duration if one cares about what one does. Getting paid to do so adds gravy Fit and 55 rocks! N=1 so your mileage may vary... A professional runner! Well, close enough I'm not *exactly* an Assassin Biographer either, but ... close enough. |

I can say I haven't eaten and drunk this much in years...and nights have ended with dessert in bed (yes and yes). Biking, hiking, sunning...perfect weather! I'm not going to miss out on my yearly vacay, so my toe has just had to HTFU. 4agoodlife - 2013-02-17 1:36 AM Artemis - 2013-02-16 6:06 AMI am getting ready for my race - loving this 10:45 start time! - and there is no snow yet. Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors, Part 2! CLOSED Thanks everyone! It was pretty miserable, but I finished. The course was terrible -- lots of stairs, steep slippery brick downhills, crowded crossing, hail in my face for a miles over a bridge -- so it’s not a race I would ever do again or recommend. Super sore right now. Still kind of cold. |
