Oh my, poor girl.  That is a tough one.  What a way for the trip to end.  Glad her dad was there.

If there wasn't something important that I HAVE to get done at work today I'd have stayed home in bed.

When the kiddos got home from school yesterday I tossed them in the car and we went and picked up some things. I got them dinner on the way, and we ate on the way home. We walked into the house and there was no power. No biggie, we were just changing clothes to go in to the park for some pitching/catching practice.

I didn't have to catch for as many girls last night. We had more catchers. I did do some. I tipped a ball off of the top of my glove and took it in the side of the face. I still have a headache. I was standing in as a batter while Keri was pitching. Have I mentioned she's a power pitcher? I was pointing something out to the catcher, an actual catcher, and not paying attention. Keri threw the ball and I took it right above the top of my shoe, right on the bone. It is still throbbing.

We got back from the park and Donnie was back from dropping the 4-wheelers off at the shop. One of the 4-wheelers we found out has been junk since they came out. I'm hoping we can get it fixed, or else that was a waste of $3500. We still had no power at the house. We went down to Donnie's moms. I was there for about 3.2 minutes and I had to leave and go home.

The power problem apparently was on the pole right outside of the house. We were 1 of 2 houses without power. It came back on at 10:13, they were making a horrible noise outside. It blinked off 4 times after that, the last one being just after midnight.

I didn't get in the office until 6 today. I had less than 4 hours sleep. My head is pounding. My ankle is throbbing. I won't get a nap today because I have to take Keri to the orthoped. I'm a wreck.

I hope the weather gets nicer for you!

I know he would never wear one, so I didn't even bother. I just ordered mine yesterday afternoon and it has already shipped. WOOT

I am not a happy camper today.

I worked for the man who hired me for 14 months and I don't remember ever once butting heads with him. I have butted heads with the new manager twice in 2 weeks. I wanted to take yesterday off, I really wasn't in any shape to be in the office. I can't even remember who was pitching when I got hit in the head, but I still have a headache from it, I may have a minor concussion. I made a mistake yesterday. It was a small one, but it was still a mistake.

So today I had to come in to the office to do something that will take me less than 5 minutes. The new boss also said he didn't know I worked from home on Friday's. How did he not know, everyone else knows. And for the past 8 months I have sent an email to everyone, including him, on Friday's saying I was working from home. He told me last night he'd have to think about it because he really needs me in the office. I plan what I need to do for the other 4 days of the week. I usually save my paperwork and such for Friday's. It worked for the past 8 months, I don't know why it wouldn't work now.

I'm hoping he's just uptight because he's in a new position, but if things continue the way they're going I'm going to start looking for something else.

Ann, sorry to hear about the work issue.

I am having a bad day myself.  Three customers on the phone yelled at me for things that are not in my power to change.  One actually came out and pretty much accused me of wanting his information to use.  Aaarrrrgh.

I am so looking forward to this weekend. 

No work.

I am home and it is raining. It is supposed to rain all weekend, matter of fact, it is supposed to rain all week!

But I am home.

There is so much rain, there are ducks in the front yard.

Come here, it's warm and sunny. You can go hiking with me tomorrow, and we're going to light the fire pit tomorrow night.

I think we need a canoe to get out of the valley. It has not stopped raining. 2 inches over night and still pouring.
